Pet friendly close to beach and gazebo with fireplace
Cozy getaway with Nature
Only a 7 minute walk to the beach!! The A frame cabin provides a quiet open air feeling with privacy in the bedroom. The loft will draw the kids up to the top for a beautiful view of the woods behind. Outside is a gazebo with a beautiful fireplace. The curtains enables a cozy room in the woods. When you walk into the bathroom you will be surrounded by nature with a big window overlooking the trees and bird feeder. The soaker tub provides a soothing remedy for those long hikes and walks on the beach you will be sure to enjoy. It is a 15 minute walk to the quaint little village of Manzanita. Great restaurants and shops run by the local families.
The TV is smart and will extend out to watch from the living room and dining room. The sound bar is great to Bluetooth your favorite music. You can listen while you enjoy the wrap around deck with comfortable patio furniture.
The kitchen is fully furnished and appliances are brand new for any cooking you might be inclined to do. The outdoor high end Blaze grill is new and ready for a BBQ. A very quiet dishwasher cleans it all up. You can eat at the kitchen Island bar or at the 4 place dining room table as well as the outdoor deck.
There are many games for indoor activity such as monopoly, Uno and Janga. There is firewood you can take in the wagon down to the beach for a beautiful sunset and smores. Or enjoy the sound of the ocean at the fireplace outside in your front yard.
This was such an incredible stay and experience. Beautiful cozy home, perfectly stocked for all of our needs. Wendi was so welcoming and I felt comfortable from the beginning. The kids absolutely went crazy for the tree house. Thank you for sharing your home.
It was wonderful. On the first evening 5 elk came to visit and grazed in the yard all evening. We walked to the beach and enjoyed hanging out there. Grocery and a few restaurants are very near. Drove 10 minutes and rented kayaks from Wheeler Marina. Paddled to Nehalem and had hot cod and chips from a food truck. The Donut truck is good too. Saw a seal? Made fires and enjoyed the gazebo in the evenings. We pulled the curtains around us to keep in the heat. Cabin is comfortable. Nicely stocked for cooking, and with lots of K cups for coffee. Heard coyotes very near one evening too. Went for a hike at Oswald West on the way home. Great place.
We travel a lot and have stayed at a lot of VRBOâs. This is by far the most well stocked and one of the nicest place weâve stayed at. Itâs perfect for families with two kids. We have a seven-year-old boy and nine year-old girl, and they loved the loft. All the beds and sheeting are very comfortable. Kids loved the treehouse and the space to run around. We traveled with our mini Golden doodle, who also loved running around the large yard. The treehouse and gazebo were also a hit and we had our first fire on the beach thanks to the well stocked wood and wagon. Everything is top-notch! Would definitely stay again if we make it back out to Manzanita!
I canât begin to express how amazing this place was. It is quiet and private. Minutes to the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, the fire area outside is Instagram worthy. Extremely clean and comfortable. I canât wait to return. Loved every minute.
Very cozy house in a great location, close to the Manzanita shops and restaurants. There were four elk hanging out on the property with us (though we kept our distance, obviously) multiple times a day. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked many meals at âhome.â Very clean and it had everything we needed. Responsive host and property manager. Good tv - and I could cast/screen share to it, which is a bonus. Highly recommended.
We stay here whenever we can as it is a true gem! It's just down the road from the beach yet it has a rare giant private yard with babbling stream and an outdoor stone fire pit. A herd of elk will walk thru during your morning coffee, which is a site to see. The cottage has always been clean and of the amenities are high quality including an amazing wood pellet indoor fire stove for the cool mornings and nights. Very fun place and our goto when we are able to vacation at the beach.
We had a wonderful trip and Wendi was very responsive and had lots of great suggestions and helped us out with a check-in snafu.
The cabin was perfect for us - the kitchen is open, inviting and wonderfully appointed. Our favorite was probably the coffee station :)
The layout and details are well thought through. The location is great. We had visits from elk throughout our stay.
The walk to the beach isnât too long, however be aware that itâs one of the heavily traveled roads without a walking path so take care.
A great stay and would definitely return!
Our group included myself and 3 adult daughters, plus our 2 pups, celebrating one daughter's birthday. The house was perfect for the 4 of us and we appreciated very much that it was dog friendly. Everything was so tidy and clean. It's beautifully furnished and we did not want for anything. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking in. There was also a surprise basket of a bottle of wine and a variety of snacks, which was a very nice touch. The beds were very comfy. Before taking off for the day and then returning in the late afternoon or evening, we loved spending time outside both on the deck and in the gazebo. The short walk to the beach was easy although we also drove down once. It's easy to park at the end of the street right at the beach. The house is perfectly located for all that we wanted to do. Manzanita Beach is a wonderful beach for walking and playing. We highly recommend this wonderful home. We will definitely be back.
Amazing we have all we need the place is clean and stocked with our needs . The neighborhood is just charming. We will be back . Thanks for a wonderful accommodations
This cottage is marvelous! The kitchen is perfectly appointed with everything we neededâexcept a large pot for steaming crab. The yard is dreamyâwonderful place to come back to after a day of exploring. The location is more ideal than I realizedâa 15 min beach walk to Manzanita, but cam relax away from the crowds. I would absolutely stay here again!
Adorable cabin. Very cozy.
We had a wonderful time.
The VCR and VHS tapes were very fun. Our kids were baffled that this was how we used to watch movies back when we were kids. :)
We had a very enjoyable stay for Memorial Day weekend! The house is the perfect combination of rustic charm and modern amenities, and the welcome basket was a much appreciated touch! We loved the front deck sitting area looking out over the little meadow stream of the front yard, played games in the gazebo while our dogs sniffed out all the lovely smells, and snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie or two at night. Nearby Manzanita, Nehalem, and Wheeler were fun trips out to explore. The beach was lovely, lots of dog walking, tidepool exploring, and kite flying. It was wonderfully quiet, to enjoy the birds and breezes in this tucked away little spot just a tiny jaunt away from the main street in town.
It being a holiday weekend, the dining out options filled up quickly, so that is something I would have put more planning time into and might have made more use of the lovely well appointed kitchen in the home but we did enjoy all the dining establishments we tried, sometimes with a wait and/or shifting from 'normal' meal times. And the little grocery in town had a small but great selection of necessities, snacks, ready to go foods, and beverages.
Nice quiet neighborhood. Easy walking distance to the beach. Cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. My only small suggestion - curtains or shades would have been nice on the windows.
From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and welcomed in this unique and charming cabin. Everything we needed and more was provided - complete kitchen supplies, games and entertainment, information on local restaurants and activities, and a lovely welcome basket. The beds were very comfortable, with high-quality linens and towels. The coffee station is absolutely adorable and we loved having our own owl mugs and the convenient Keurig machine.
We enjoyed watching many different birds and wildlife outside the big picture windows, and cozying up by the pellet stove for a family movie night in the evenings. We sipped our beverages while swinging on the porch swing in the gazebo, and listening to the bubbling creek, with lovely native plantings growing alongside, meandering through the yard. The beach, and wonderful little town of Manzanita, were a quick walk away, and the road was quiet enough that we felt fairly safe doing so.
Many unique and artistic touches made us feel like this was a treasured place to our hosts, and we felt pampered staying here. We hope to return soon for another relaxing and rejuvenating stay.
We love our cabin and have fond family memories here. Everyone that visits feels the charm. It was a sad dwelling when we rescued it and brought it back to life. It now shows us the appreciation with beautiful memories. We have traveled the world but this is always outr favorite place.â„ïž
We chose this house as we visited our best friends next door. It was just meant to be. The scenery, the quaint town and glorious beach embrace us every time.
The house sits back in the woods next to the creek. The Elk, deer, coyotes and bobcat love playing in the yard. The gazebo with the magnificent fireplace will be the highlight of the visit. It is propane fed for anyone fire challenged.
