Family New Years Celebration

Great location. Large kitchen and eating areas were perfect for our family. Close to grocery store and many wonderful local restaurants. Would love to come back!

Quad vacation

House was spacious for 8 people! Loved the pool with enough shade and sun for everyone! Could use a few more floats for the pool. Kayaking was fun! Was very, very clean and had all the amenities we needed! Would definitely rent again!!!

Quiet respite

This is the second time we have rented this home. This is a very nice home located in a quiet wonderful neighborhood close to Sombrero Beach and grocery shopping. The pool is terrific and makes this such a nice private relaxing place-despite having a little problem with heating that we corrected. The home is accurately depicted in the photographs

Great Pool

We rented this home for a group of 7. Communication with the property manager was great and a air conditioning issue was handled quickly. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles. Lots of room in the common areas. 4 bedrooms are reasonably sized. Pool was the bomb! Dock is brand new.

Great location and space

Property management was great! The pool heater had stopped working and they addressed it promptly. We are a family of 5 and had Plenty of space for everyone. Some members complained about the mattresses as others have. Plenty of towels, dishes, and cookware. The location is great close to everything but quiet. We had a boat during our stay and the dock/fish cleaning station was nice. Overall would definitely stay again.

Needs TLC

The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were dated. Cleanliness lacking but OK after we swept, washed linens and did the dishes again. Good neighborhood and scenic view. Pool was nice but also dated. The little touches were missing that would make this a really nice experience.

Dear Rose, I'm glad overall you enjoyed your stay. I do find your need to comment about the home being dated surprising since it is obviously not a new home and the kitchen, baths and furnishings are exactly what is shown in the photos (except for items that were removed due to Covid cleaning requirements) and you should not have expected to find a new, modern or recently renovated home, nor is it advertised or priced as such. Everything in the home works and it is a lovely blend of location, amenities, size and price. Again, I was surprised to read in your review your comment about having cleaning issues. Our only contact during your stay was two days after your arrival when you called to say the grill was out of propane and you needed some light bulbs, both of which I had delivered within the hour.The home had a thorough cleaning the day of your arrival, if you needed to wash everything due to concern about Covid I can understand that, you would not be the first guest to completely re-clean a house just for their personal comfort level. The little touches are missing from most of our rentals. As we are supposed to, I took the Covid situation seriously and packed away any extras, games books, extra sets of supplies in the kitchen, knickknacks and non essential decor items leaving enough to still give it a nice look but not so much that cleaning wouldn't be able to go over all the surfaces that a previous guest may have handled. I do not typically solicit reviews for my properties on VRBO but now I am sorry I haven't on this home. It has been a rental with me since the Keys reopened last June and has been occupied steadily and enjoyed by many families.

Great adult get-away in Marathon

Great house for four couples as there are four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Some of the furniture and other bits are slightly dated (worn paint, chipped tiles) but these were minor and did not affect our stay. Need more cutlery and some coffee mugs could be replaced (chipped or cracked). Would have liked to have known there was a Keurig machine. And a visit by someone to check on us and to clean the pool would have been nice.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay in Marathon. The house was, as listed. Master bed was not very comfortable but the others were. Definitely advise lowering the blinds for the hot afternoon sun. The pool was great size but very warm. Can’t imagine how hot it will be later in summer. Iguanas were regular visitors at the pool. Make reservations at indoor a/c restaurants. Gulf side restaurants were extremely hot. Most comfortable outdoor restaurant was Burdines. Must go to Sloppy Joes- Key West.

Great Xmas getaway!

Enjoyed staying at this property for the week leading up to Xmas. Great location. Loved the pool (you'll want to pay for the pool heating if you are staying there in the winter). Nice big family area and great layout to house. Nice and roomy. Lots of space to park our various cars. Furniture was nice and in good shape. Decent set of kitchen utensils too. Only two I criticisms of the house: 1) the power switch set up is very confusing. Power switches for various lights are not even close to logical places. We never found the garbage disposal switch despite 5 adults looking for it. 2) Great TVs, but lacking on the channel selections. This was only an issue because the teenagers wanted Netflix/Hulu, etc. So, I'd recommend bringing your Apple TV or Roku with you if you got youngsters that want to binge at night. Anyway, if those are the worst things I can say about our stay, that's a big vacation win!

Would stay again!

Property was very close to grocery stores and shopping, but tucked back enough to get away from it all. Property and home was open and offered amazing views. Our favorite places were the reading nook by the windows and hanging around the outdoor table. Direct channel acces if you bring your boat, and a short ride to the ocean, although quite a ride to the public boat ramp, maybe 30 minutes tops. Still, not terrible and gorgeous views along the way. We did some incredible fishing. Bay was perfect for taking our littles for a short kayak ride to see tarpon which were frequently surfacing. Nearby beach was nice and has a park, and pagodas for picnicking. Loved the shallow wading option of the pool. It worked well for us to be able to sit in the water without submerging while watching the littles. The only issue was the dock lights did not work, and we had to have someone come out to fix the kitchen sink pressure which was a quick fix- Minor problems that would not impact out desire to rent again.

Multiple family vacation

9 of us stayed here ages tanging 10-72 Great location. Love multiple levels giving everyone their own space. Had all the amenities we were looking for. Great dock space for boat/ kayak/ paddle board. One of our highlights were the manatees at the dock several days. Out vacation was wonderful. My only criticism would be light switches- some didn’t work and others in odd locations. Some TLC is needed but just the little things. I would definitely recommend bringing a portable fan for anyone staying on 3rd floor- very warm up there.

This property is everything we expected and more.

The house is set up wonderfully for 2 families. I loved the fact that everyone had there own space but also lots of common areas to hang out. With that being said I wish that the patio table by the pool sat more people than 5. We used the patio table for almost every evening meal. So with 8 people we had to use the lounge chairs to eat. We would definitely rent this house again because it was close to everything and in a wonderful quite neighborhood.

A wonderful home in Marathon

This home is as described in the listing. Very nice layout, beautiful view and well stocked kitchen; The pool was in use non stop and provided hours of enjoyment to the family. This is a comfortable home with open floor plan. Great neighborhood within a mile of Sombero Beach. We would rent again.

Big house in a great location

We had a great time in this large house that is walking distance to Sombrero beach. Very quiet area but close to everything. Great communication with the manager. We will be back!

Lovely getaway with great views

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. There are a few items that were not satisfactory, pillows were flat and not comfortable, mattress in the upper level was not comfortable and it is pitching towards the middle and a light over vanity in third floor bedroom was not working properly and there is no dresser for that room which it could use. Pool paver blocks were loose so hard to walk barefoot around because they would pinch your toes or cause tripping hazard. We paid extra for the heating of pool but it wasn't warm at all. There is no ladder for the pool to get in or out which did not help my 80 yr old mother due to the steepness of the pool steps with no handrail. Only basic comcast channels. No smart tv's at the home. The bamboo handrails are a pinching hand hazard where the seams are. The view and area of the home is very peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed this very much. Hard to figure out some electric switches. But for large groups this house works well with space to spread out.

Beautiful secluded home with great dockage!

We enjoyed this beautiful home and had the best time! It is very private and plenty of room for everyone to relax and have fun. We enjoyed the sunsets from the balcony also.
