Fantastic cottage on Lake Michigan. The high bluff allows for a priceless view of Lake Michigan through an unforgettable picture window. Our cottage has 150 feet of private frontage along Lake Michigan, and stairs down to Lake Michigan. A a brand new 8 person HOT TUB was delivered in February 2026. The hot tub is perched on the back patio about 30 feet from the edge of the Lake Michigan Bluff.

Sun-room offers great views and has comfy seating

Main floor also offers living room with commanding Lake Michigan view. Big screen TV in cozy living room along with gas fireplace. Large, well equipped kitchen with plenty of counter space. All new appliances in 24-25. Full bath on main floor. Main floor master bedroom with king bed. Upper level with two additional bedrooms and full bath. One upper bedroom has a king bed and the other upper bedroom has a queen bed. Basement level has fourth bedroom with full size bed and additional 1/2 bath in the basement. Basement also has a bunk room a twin over twin bed.

Cottage sleeps up to 11 in 4 separate bedrooms and the additional basement bunk room. Township limit is 10 guests. Cottage with is laid out as follows:

Overall, our one night stay there was great. We enjoyed the limited time we had going down to the beach and the hot tub. We had a party of 7 for a guys golf trip and 5 cars so we had to park 4 tight in the driveway with 1 car across the back of the driveway. Probably not an issue for 99.9% of guests but just a heads up.

Clean and comfortable with a fabulous view! We loved the private beach, absolutely phenomenal for rock hunting! We found so many petoskey stones! The neighborhood was friendly and peaceful except for the construction next door. We also got a good workout on the stairs to the beach!

Our overall review of this property was fair. The view was indeed beautiful and the home was well equipped. We booked this home because of the newer hot tub, unfortunately it was not maintained and upon arrival found it was green and had a terrible odor. FYI 103 stairs down to beach!

The cottage is a very nice one and it was very clean. We knew there were some stairs to the beach but not over 100. We had young children with us who required being carried up and down the stairs. Also we, as adults had a little trouble coming up all of those stairs. The cliff in front of the cottage is very steep which made us worried with small children. We went to get in the hot tub and our son in law, who owns a hot tub, tested the water and the balance was way off balance. I suggest you test it more often as not everyone is lucky enough to have someone with them who can test the water. We did end up having fun on the beach and sunsets were beautiful.

HOT TUB WAS HOT! VERY GOOD. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Manistee is a hoot and a half. Parking can only fit four cars in driveway and there's no street parking.

The hosts were responsive, friendly, and very accommodating! The house itself is beautiful. We went for a winter girl’s trip and it was so perfect and cozy. We loved the hot tub and the fireplace, and going down to the water with all the ice was very cool. We are already talking about returning next year!

I waited a few days to write this review because I wanted to see if the impact of this trip still stuck with me. I have to say…it has.From the moment we arrived and saw the view of Lake Michigan through the family room picture window, I was hooked. I’ve had ocean front hotel rooms before…and those were great. But this was so much better…because it was ours to enjoy all by ourselves. To be able to take in that view day after day, I found I spoke less and less each subsequent day. I could no longer find words to express the beauty I was seeing or the peace and serenity I was feeling inside. I was both awed and humbled by this experience.I missed a bald eagle that flew by the first night, but had an experience with him the next I will never forget in a way. I was sitting on the patio playing guitar and watched the eagle fly toward me and perch in the tree above me. I couldn’t see him and just continued to play thinking that maybe he was attracted to the music…LOL. After about 10-minutes, I stepped back and found him still perched in the tree. He eventually flew to the top of a small pine tree about 75 yards away and was able to watch him up close through a telescope. I also took a number of pics…of course.Anyhow, I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone wishing for a full reset. The views are spectacular! The house is amazing. And the fire pit is peaceful & the constant breeze makes them easy to start. This place is truly a slice of heaven!!!

The views over top of the lake are so stunning. Our group swam down in Lake Michigan multiple times, the access via the stairs is so nice. Great kitchen, plenty of spaces to sleep, & easy check in/check out.

We loved the situation of this property and its view of the lake and sky from both inside and outside. The cottage was furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we really enjoyed our time there--walking the beach, relaxing, hot-tubbing, sitting at the campfire, and playing games.
