Beachside Getaway - Driftwood House

Driftwood is for relaxation. Forget the car , laze around the house or simply walk out the gate to enjoy our Beachside location .

Our home is orientated to catch the light , the sea breeze and the hum of a rolling surf. The garden and house design give a “living in the trees” feel. Our eclectic and evolving interior is comfortable , functional and sprinkled with colour and fun.
You will have exclusive use of our spacious, four bedroom home , situated in a quiet, park-like estate. It is a short, flat walk to beautiful Dicky beach with its long stretch of clean, white sand. On your way, you will pass our Cafe and Community Shopping Precinct that provides most of your daily needs. Its position allows easy access without impacting on the amenity of the house.
Upstairs you can see how close you are to the ocean. Swim between the flags: take a 7 minute walk to the surf lifesaver patrolled, section of the beach
 
Around the corner (200m), you will find several cafes and a variety of eateries (fish and chips, Thai, Modern Asian, Poke Bowls, Pizzeria and Bar).
Don’t forget The Wreck Bistro, Bar and Gaming facilities at the Surf Club.

Your everyday needs can be met by the:
IGA Express Grocery Store,
Bakery which also serves delicious Bahn Mi and Kebabs
specialty Butcher,
BWS Liquor store,
Pharmacy,
Hairdresser
Cross the road at the Pedestrian Crossing and continue walking past the SS Dicky Parkland , Skate Park and Surf Club before reaching the patrolled section of Dicky Beach.
You could walk the beach south to Moffat Headland or north to Currimundi Lake. Park seating and Cafes abound at either end for that obligatory break.

If you have your board, there is a Surf Break North of the swimming area. (Ann st).

You can fish off the beach. A friendly local with a rod will often advise.

You could continue your walk (or bicycle) the scenic Coastal Pathway north, as far as Point Cartwright or South through Caloundra to Bells Creek.

If you leave the house and head in the opposite direction, a 10 minute walk brings you to the beautiful Tooway Lake. Walking on from here, (use the pedestrian underpass on the western side of the bridge and follow the eastern, waterside path) you will find the Moffat Beach Precinct with the Moffat Beach Brewery, art gallery, homewares store and more. There is also a doctor’s surgery, Post Office, Petrol station, traditional bakery and Foodworks Grocery Store just across the bridge.
 
Remember, you can always order your groceries online to be delivered for a time, after your arrival. However, if you want to drive, the closest supermarket is 5 minutes away at the Currimundi Markets Shopping Centre on the Nicklin Way.

Really, you do not need to drive anywhere, if it is relaxation, you are after.
