A three-hour flight from Amsterdam is one of the most attractive holiday areas in the Mediterranean: Andalusia. This southern Spanish coastal province is known for its sunny beaches with around 320 days of sunshine per year and a wonderfully pleasant microclimate. This subtropical area has very pleasant summers and mild winters. That is why this area is also called Costa Tropical. Here, where the high wild mountains of the Sierra Nevada rise from the sea, is Fuentes de Almuñécar.

The district of Fuentes was built about 10 years ago with a view of the Mediterranean on one side and the rugged foothills of the Sierra Nevada on the other. The neighborhood is surrounded by plantations of mangoes, avocados, papayas and the local cherimoyas. In summer it is an ideal place for wonderful walks if you are looking for peace and quiet and do not want to immerse yourself in beach life.

Within a radius of 200 meters you walk on country roads between the mango, avocado and chirimoya plantations. By car you can also easily visit historic Granada and the world famous Alhambra and the charming Albaicín or rustic Nerja as well as the larger beautiful coastal city of Malaga. Of course, the beautiful mountains of the Sierra Nevada are also worth a trip!

Fuentes is 800 meters from a relatively quiet beach with a couple of nice beach bars: Playa del Tesorillo. If you walk a little further you will come to the livelier but also very pleasant beach of Almunecar. The charming old town of Almuñecar is about 2km from Fuentes.

The house "Casa Palmeras" has a large terrace with a view of the sea and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. You can find sun and shade here all day long, which is of course very pleasant with so much sun. Here you have several seats and luxurious sun loungers, a beautiful outdoor kitchen with, for example, a built-in grill.
The swimming pools are each 1 to 2 minutes' walk away. The infinity pool is located in a beautiful tropical garden with palm trees and offers sea and mountain views. There are always plenty of sun loungers by the pool and this pool is also supervised in summer. This pool is open from mid-July to mid-September. The smaller pool (still very spacious) also has great views and is open all year round.

The house has 4 floors. We have redecorated the house to our taste and everything we think we need for a pleasant stay. We value cleanliness and quality. Our house was renovated and refurbished in June 2017 with a modernized kitchen, bathroom, new beds and mattresses, new furnishing of the living room with dining area and the terrace with outdoor kitchen. All rooms have air conditioning or a fan.
The cleaning costs include bed linen, towels, beach towels and of course the final cleaning.
