Stillwater Cottage is a true lakefront home at Stillwater Resort, located on the western shore of Lake Rotorua in Ngongotahā, with panoramic views facing northeast toward Mokoia Island. Part of the wider Stillwater Resort (over 2,000m² of lakefront land with two dwellings), the cottage offers a peaceful and intimate lakeside stay while also being part of a unique setting suitable for family gatherings, small events, and boutique-style celebrations.



The Space:

Ideal for families and multi-generational stays, the cottage accommodates up to 6 guests and features:

• Expansive lake view living area with panoramic views

• Outdoor deck and spa pool overlooking Lake Rotorua and Mokoia Island

• Fireplace with unlimited firewood and air conditioning (heating & cooling)

• 55” smart TV (Netflix & YouTube), unlimited high-speed WiFi

• Owner’s DVD collection and board games for relaxed evenings

• Fully equipped kitchen

• One lake view master bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a self-contained en-suite sleep-out with kitchenette

• BBQ, washing machine, and tumble dryer for convenience



Guests can enjoy direct lake access, with 2 complimentary kayaks and 1 stand-up paddle-board (life jackets and paddles provided), making it easy to experience the lake at your own pace.



Wake up to sunrise over Mokoia Island, spend your mornings on the water or enjoy coffee on the deck, and unwind in a calm, quiet environment just 10 minutes’ drive from central Rotorua attractions.

Stillwater Resort as a whole - with its large lakefront lawn, two dwellings (cottage for up to 6 guests and residence for up to 10 guests), and iconic Lake Rotorua backdrop - also provides a rare and memorable venue for family events, small gatherings, and boutique-style wedding photography.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive access to the entire home, ensuring privacy and ample space, with ample on-site and off-street parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, and convenient self-check-in on arrival.



Please note there is another house, Stillwater Residence, sitting to the rear of the property (which we also look after). Stillwater Cottage is peacefully set at the lakefront, with direct access to the water, ensuring a quiet and private stay.
