Unique Vacation Rental on the Spectacular Kaikoura Coast in New Zealand

This unique vacation rental is located in lush surroundings, just four kilometers south of the town of Kaikoura, on New Zealand's South Island and can accommodate four guests. The caboose was carefully restored over a two-year period and features ornate wood paneling throughout. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom has a traditional brass ornamental double bed and the second bedroom has two wooden bunk beds for guests that are a maximum height of six feet. The bathroom is in the middle of the carriage with a shower room and a toilet. Linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. Bathroom robes are provided in adult sizes and guests can purchase these from the host if they wish.



In the open plan kitchen, guests will find an electric hob, a microwave/oven, fridge, toaster, kettle, and a sink. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The open plan area also features a lounge with a flat-screen TV/DVD player, a sofa, and a chair. Outside there is a generous deck area and a large green open space. Guests also have full use of a gas barbecue and outdoor table and seating.



Guests staying in this accommodation share certain outdoor facilities with guests staying in other accommodations on the property. These include a fully-equipped outdoor barbecue shelter with a gas barbecue, a gas oven, a hob, a sink, crockery, cutlery, and outdoor tables and chairs. Glampers will have exclusive access to the host's private collection of farm animals including llamas, pigs, alpaca, sheep, deer, ducks and chickens.



A continental breakfast is available for a small additional cost (booked directly in advance, or at check-in), and includes: a selection of breakfast cereals, a loaf of bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade jam, and seasonal fruit and farm-fresh eggs when available.
