I am married with 3 children. I was born & raised in the Lake Charles area. I love traveling and spending time with my family. I am an accountant and just starting on this exciting journey of hosting our home. I look forward to sharing our home and hope our guests enjoy it just as much!
This is a beautiful timber frame home built by the hardworking hands of a family member. The wood beams were cut from trees on the surrounding property. The construction is traditional timber framing which utilize vertical timber posts and horizontal timber beams using joints cut into the wood, called mortise and tenons, to secure one timber to another then secure the pieces, not with a nail, but with a wooden peg. The frame is not just structural but a fine work of art. It is very special to us and too beautiful to keep to ourselves so we wanted to share it with our guests.
