Beautiful location!

The location of this property is fantastic and cannot be beat! We are excited to visit again and really enjoyed the beach, private pool, and relaxing at the house. The home could use minor updates - deep cleaning due to being pet friendly, blinds fixed, and screens in the sliding glass doors. Note: the private walkway to the beach is amazing but is covered with a lot of sand, which could make it difficult for some to navigate.

Perfect Location with all the Extras

Great little beach house across the street from the surf, but with your own private walkway and a gazebo on the ocean. The hot tub is outside next to the built in pool; perfect for watching the stars at night. Walking distance to shopping and the grocery store. There is an additional $499 VRBO fee that needs to be added to the rental amount. No0t sure that was disclosed in the listing.

Nice house minimal support

The house is nice, upstairs needs some fixing though. The main bedroom bathroom on the third floor needs an upgrade. Great views of the ocean. We called about the dirty pool the first night and sent pics but no one ever came to clean it. Also please read the details closely, there were no bikes, games, soap, paper towels or other things that we have come to expect in most beach houses in the Outer Banks at this price. Overall satisfied, just a little disappointed with the attention to detail.

Beach lovers

This was our second time same house. Location perfect. Proximity to supermarket is nice !Although statement made that path to beach is private our neighbors didn’t seam to bother to use it at leisure! Even some random people used the gazebo for pictures! The path itself should be cleaned up from sand, the steps were covered, the incline was challenging to the least agile due to the dunes height. I know it is prohibited to take them down but at one point you will lose the view of the ocean if nothing is done about it! The house smells musty, it could use an update especially second floor bathroom. Very disappointed no beach chairs available, I was not aware until we got there.. our last vk there was thanksgiving, we didn’t need beach chairs! Overall great vacation but not inclined to rent same home again.

Corolla Beach house in desperate need of owner love

There were quite a few issues with this property starting with the things my husband fixed -- the sand that filled the outdoor shower so no water would drain - he spent a good while clearing -- and the broken door to the pool which we bought a screw and screwdriver to fix. Broken plastic chairs at the pool which Resort Realty said they knew about but no one did anything about the week we were there. Calling maintenance, waiting on hold and waiting for someone to show up is not something you want to do on vacation. The carpets are dingy, ripped and not that clean. The bathrooms need new tubs, sinks and fixtures desperately. One tub had cracks in it that were covered with glue. Some walls were missing plaster. One day #2 we did ask for someone to come and clean the mold off bathroom ceilings, shower curtains and toilets which they did. If cleaning supplies had been provided we could have done it ourselves. Many door/window screens were hidden under beds for some reason. Lots of furniture with broken pieces. Toe rail on the floors not fastened. Rusty nails need to be hammered back into the outside stairs and deck in dozens of places. Beds were wicked uncomfortable. So disappointing that we paid not only the VRBO fee of $580 but the Resort Realty fee of $200 plus other hidden fees including a cleaning fee for a place that has been really worn hard while the owners just watch the money roll in. The location was great if you don't look too hard at the place.

Awesome private beach access

There are pros and cons to this property. Biggest pro is the private beach access and gazebo which lead to a nice quiet strip of beach - so fantastic. Nice ocean views as well. Cons were that the house is a bit worn and could use some TLC. Note - one of the master baths only has a bathtub but no shower. Overall it was a great trip and we will be back!
