Second Street Suite - un appartement d'une chambre situé à Clearfield - porte d'entrée des «Backroads, Backwoods, Backwaters» des Pennsylvania Wilds. Près du troupeau de wapitis, des barrages Curwensville, Parker Dam et S. B. Elliot State Parks; Bilger's Rocks, les vignobles et Rails to Trails.

Why Is vrbo asking me about skiing? This isn't a skiing location. This was a great place for me to stay overnight in Clearfield. Everything was well thought out, clean and the host was very kind. It was easy to check in.

Great stay in a quaint little town!

Very good communication with host as far as rental, checking in, recommendations for restaurants, etc. Very clean, well appointed for making a quick breakfast. Comfortable bed, quiet location—a perfect half way place to spend the night on my trip.

Great stopover between college visits

My wife, my son and I stayed at Peggy's apartment during a road trip to several colleges in the area. It was a perfect stopover - comfortable, very clean, good AC, a lovely breakfast and off-street parking. And Peggy is a warm and hospitable host, and a lovely person. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely stay there again if my son goes to school in the area!

Everything about Second Street Suite is great!

We really enjoyed our stay at Second Street Suite. It was so much nicer than staying at a hotel! The apartment was spacious and very clean. The location can't be beat; you can walk downtown and hop on the highways easily. Peggy was very helpful and available for questions. And the breakfasts she made were the icing on the cake. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Clearfield.

Memory Lane

Spent four nights, with this Clearfield property being our home base, from which to visit my wife’s brother and some of her high school classmates in the Morrisdale/Philipsburg area. The property was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped as was the bath. Smaller TV in the living area has cable. TV in bedroom sits too low to enjoy in bed. Bed is firm and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers.The other occupants of this building are tenants so you can expect to hear sounds from upstairs when you retire to bed. Our visit was enjoyable even if the weather did not cooperate.

Nice Place Comfy with A Few Issues if you are older or disabled.

It has beautiful hardwood floors but you enter front door and go up approximately 14 steps. The bidet does not work, we did have ants, the bed is comfy but high, extra cot, big kitchen but no AC in there (ceiling fan), sleep sofa so you sink in, since you can have dogs I get that. 2 window AC, bedroom and living room. Big double sink bathroom, nice tub, hot water, not much area for taking dogs outside but doable, fantastic convection oven, dish washer, snacks and pop at .75 each, close to many places to go, street noise, can’t park out front during night and during day you pay, but there is parking in back. River close by. My big problem had been we paid in advance, got a nice discount since we were staying 11 nights, but the day before we left I got a text that she forgot to add on the dog fee, which was not bad for 2 dogs and 11 nights, I was just upset as that hit us our last day there. (She forgot as they were going to Hong Kong when I booked it months in advance). An apartment downstairs has an elderly lady, plus there are other apartments in building but the only people we heard in that instance was upstairs. The kitchen is really big. Nice big closets to hang clothes, but the many dressers were filled mostly with sheets, blankets, so there were plenty of those and towels. She offered for a lady to come in and clean during our stay. For the most part, she communicated well other than the dog fee but lots of places won’t let you bring your dog. Would recommend

I am pleased you found the apartment comfortable. Many guests enjoy the downtown location which is in walking distance to the parks & river (1 block away), shops, restaurants, and theaters, I’m sorry I forgot to add the pet fees after the dogs were not mentioned on the original reservation form. It wasn’t until the day prior to check-out that I realized the pet fees had not been added. I hoped the 50% discount would ease the situation. The window a/c’s in the living room and bedroom, along with the ceiling fan in the kitchen keep the entire apartment at a comfortable temperature. There are several empty drawers in the dressers but perhaps more were needed for an 11 night stay. The double closet in the bedroom also provides ample space for guest items. My cleaner was unable to find any ants when she cleaned. We have removed the bidet. This vacation rental apartment is in a large but quiet building with several other apartments - one of which shares the front entrance hallway with this unit. I have edited my listing to make it clear that this is a second floor apartment. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay.

Clearfield fair

We arrived early no problem got in and settled toured the town ate at Bucks Pizza which was delicious went to clearfield fair saw Larry the Cable guy walked to and from the fair enjoyed the snacks provided by the host checked out the following morning great place great time!!

I am always pleased when guests enjoy their stay the Second Street Suite and also have a great experience attending a community event....and the Clearfield County Fair is one of the biggest events of the year. It is the 3rd largest county fair in the State of Pennsylvania. This year was the 160th edition of the fair - the 2021 fair was particularly exciting after 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. The last time the fair was cancelled was in 1944 and 1945 because of World War II. It was a pleasure to host your visit. I hope you will return if your travels bring you to Clearfield in the future. Very confusing VBRO listing

We ended up staying at the Victorian B and B instead of the property we had rented. The listing was very confusing and had no street address. I contacted the owner and she suggested that we come to their B&B instead of the apartment. We were extremely happy with the B&B and the wonderful owners. The original listing was NOT a B&B. Again the confusion was caused by a poor listing on VBRO.

Dear Janice - It was a pleasure to host you and your friend at the Victorian Loft B&B in the historic district of Clearfield. When you called me upon arrival at the Second Street Suite, you indicated you thought you had booked a bed & breakfast when you made the reservation. Because I had a room available at the B&B a few blocks away, I offered to transfer your reservation from the Second Street Suite to the Victorian Loft B&B. As for the VRBO listing, I believe general locations are indicated but that specific addresses are not provided prior to a booking confirmation. In addition, the listing clearly states the Second Street Suite is a one-bedroom apartment with no reference to it being a bed and breakfast. As it turned out...both you and I were confused as to how and why you believed differently. However, it turned out fine. It was a pleasure to host your stay at the bed and breakfast. Loved the roominess and the location of this property. It was clean and well kept with nice furniture and appliances. The owner was friendly and accomodating. The breakfast provided was delicious. The only complaint was not about the property but the lack of social distancing and use of masks in public areas. This is not a town for anyone worried about the virus. The fall foilage nearby was lovely.

When the suite is not in use for traveling nurses, doctors or business people, it fills for busy weekends - Penn State football games, PSU graduation, Groundhog Day or Lock Haven U events. Enjoyed the nice, spacious apartment - we only stayed one night, but agreed it would have been a great place to spend a week or more. Roomy kitchen and bath, lots of natural light, quiet location where you can relax and have privacy. The apartment was nicely furnished, well stocked with all the necessities, and absolutely spotless - it really felt like home away from home.

Peaceful Getaway

My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful getaway and found this beautiful apartment in Centerfield PA. the apartment was very clean (immaculate) and warm, we were able to relax in the living area and watch TV or read a book and put together some delicious meals in Peggy's spacious kitchen. What i loved about the bedroom was that there was no TV, so it made sleeping very pleasant. I will definitely return and visit and stay with Peggy of course because it was a great experience.
