This lower level of a 1920s oceanfront cottage boasts pristine views of the Strait of Georgia, the Gulf Islands, and the passing ferries to/from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. Fully stocked kitchenette, 3/4 bath, and luxurious linens in the queen bed. Oversized windows bring the outside in! Private patio with grill and Adirondack chairs. Less than 10 steps down from the patio, find yourself on the sand, enjoying the beach. Kayaks, too!

Inside, the lovely interior features warm wood and rustic finishes. With all the essentials, the studio includes plush sleeping arrangements, a kitchenette, and a sizable bathroom. Partial air conditioning and a space heater keep you comfortable year-round.

The place was a lovely little getaway, and we really enjoyed our stay. However, we would have liked to see a little more care taken with the exterior garden. A few branches around the deck should be trimmed to make it more comfortable to use, and we need to trim to be comfortable sit over there.Next time, I will also ask whether the upstairs unit is rented to a family with children, as we could clearly hear kids running overhead.We also had some difficulty getting into the unit because the access code we were given didn’t work at first.We would probably come back, but next time we hope these few issues will have been addressed.William and Araceli

Although quite minimalistic, the Half Shell provided everything that we needed for our 2 night stay. Even though it was in another country, it was extremely close to the people that we were visiting in Delta, BC & crossing the border was very easy. We loved the view of the Strait of Georgia through the picture windows. The moon shining on the water was spectacular. We woke up to a deer walking through the shallows & a bald eagle gliding overhead.It’s a great spot for some R & R!

Snug as a bug

Great location, right on the beach and the Snug is perfect for 2 people. For a small space, it is very functional and the bed is super comfy. The bathroom was lovely and the cleanliness was top notch. Ocean view from the little eating bar in the kitchen and and an ocean view while laying in bed. While the stairs can seem a bit daunting, they are good for your glutes!

Half Shell Hideaway

We loved our stay at the Half Shell. The views were amazing, the widelife (birds) abundant, and the peace and serenity exactly what we were looking for. Having pictures of the kitchenette in the listing would have been helpful. It was a pleasant surprise. Although we didn't cook, it had everything we would have needed to make a small meal. Everything went smoothly and we look forward to staying at this location again really soon.

Quaint Little Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at The Half Shell. A bit small, but very bright & quaint. Enjoyed the ocean views. We lucked out our first night, as no one occupied the top half of the house. Second night some thumping around/foot steps from the upstairs neighbours. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay. Liked how central the property was to everything. Good walking distance from a restaurant/pub, cafe & liquor store. Would definitely stay again.

Magical!

It was beautiful! Full moon set over the water with a bright light trail to me. New picture windows have a wonderful view from bed.The kitchenette was new and pristine. Stove top, microwave toaster. Sitting at the bar looking out at the view was wonderful. The website is inaccurate and not up to date which worked in my favor.

Point Roberts is a unique and special place. Our Vrbo lodging was just as special. It was the perfect location from which to explore (beach walks, tide pools, a walk to the local tavern to enjoy the golden hour)... or stay-in to sip coffee with a view of the ocean, islands, and expanse of the sky from your own wooden adirondack chairs. It was certainly a peaceful place to read, relax, and just plain revel at our close proximity to so much blue! It was the prefect retreat from a big city (where we live). No traffic, interesting caws and birdsong throughout the day, and waking to the sounds of the tide was heavenly. Heading into Vancouver (for our family event) and crossing the border was no sweat. Our host was super efficient in all communication. We are so happy we found this cozy spot!
