à propos de cet hébergement
Sprawling Mountain Getaway view of Killington/Pico
Custom Built Sprawling Contemporary Country Home and Family Compound. Views abound on this 50 acres hilltop escape with panoramic mountain views, ponds, streams and meadows! Conveniently located only 5 miles to Rutland and 20 minutes to Killington, Pico, and Lake Bomoseen. Two living spaces attached by ground floor patios and reflection pool and lower level basement area. 7 Bedrooms total, 4 full baths and 2 half baths.
The space
This hilltop escape features two living spaces attached by ground floor patios. Both houses are included in the rental. The 2 bed, 2.5 bath Main House has an open layout design, with custom artist detailed finishes including open tower glass window staircase, maple flooring and cherry appointed walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, central air, and master bedroom with private sitting and his-and-hers bath and dressing areas. The Guest House Tower has an additional 5 beds and 2.5 baths and heat pumps for individual heating and cooling. There is plenty of space to spread out, entertain and relax, for cooling and heating. A recent guest stated it was the perfect spot for those who need to hit the refresh button.
Things to note about a couple of the amenities: the heating and ac system are heat pumps. Please make sure to turn the heat down to 68 in winter and 72 in the summer months. There is a lovely grill available for use during the stay, please make sure it is cleaned before checking out and all dishes used are properly cleaned and put away.
Guest access
There is plenty of parking on site. Guests have open access to explore the Art Park, use of the walking paths and trails through the woods, open fire pit, outdoor dining/grill area, and basement game room. We ask that with access to the grill, please make sure to properly clean it, before checking out.
Other things to note
West Rutland, Vermont, United States
West Rutlandâs origins revolve around the marble industry. It is home to The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center, where guests can participate in creative workshops; the West Rutland Marsh, a designated Important Bird Area where guests can take a beautiful nature walk to observe the wildlife; and the West Rutland Dog Park, where guests can bring their dogs for leisure walk and play. This property also hosts the West Rutland Art Park, which showcases tremendous structures from local artists.
West Rutland is in central/southern Vermont, making it an ideal location to get the most out of your Vermont trip. Killington Ski Area, Pico, Lake Bomoseen and Historic Manchester are all within 30 minutes; Woodstock and the infamous Quechee Gorge, Middlebury (home to local breweries and wineries), and Lake George, NY are all within 45 minutes; and Burlingtonâs Waterfront and Church Street Marketplace, Stowe Mountain Resort, and Montpelier, Vermontâs State Capitol, are all within in a two-hour drive, making for great day-trip destinations.
