Escape to the sand at Shelley's — a relaxed, pet-friendly beach house tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, just a few easy steps to your own beach track leading down to Culburra Beach. Full of classic coastal charm and in largely original condition, this is an easygoing, rustic retreat where sandy feet and salty hair are all part of the experience.
Upstairs, you'll find a light-filled central kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and handy revolving pantry that flows into a comfortable lounge and dining area. These open onto a covered deck with leafy surrounds and glimpses of the ocean — a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon BBQ. The living spaces are simple and welcoming, designed more for relaxed beach living than polished perfection.
Downstairs offers extra room to spread out, with a casual family area featuring a corner lounge, flat-screen TV, and DVD player—great for movie nights after a day at the beach. The garage has been set up as a laid-back games zone, with table tennis, boogie boards, fishing gear, and assorted beach toys ready for guest use. There’s also a laundry with a washing machine and dryer, reverse-cycle split system air-conditioning downstairs for year-round comfort, and ample off-street parking with space for cars or even a boat.
The layout works well for families or small groups, with three bedrooms (a queen, a double and a bunk room) and two bathrooms accommodating up to eight guests. Pets are welcome, and the fully fenced yard gives dogs a secure space to roam.
If you’re looking for glossy and brand new, this isn’t it — but if you’re after an authentic, well-loved beach house where you can truly switch off and settle into a slower coastal pace, Shelley's is ready to welcome you.

Was a great location. Only thing is that there was no air conditioner upstairs so that living area was pretty unusable. Also there were some bottles of alcohol and dirty dishes / bbq left behind from the previous tenants. Otherwise it was a great place with a superb location

The upstairs living area is not advertised as air conditioned, and this is reflected in the property details provided prior to booking so guests can make an informed decision based on their comfort requirements.
Regarding the items you mentioned being left behind, this should not occur. All properties are inspected and cleaned between stays, and any missed items are addressed once reported so they can be rectified promptly.

Shelley’s at Culburra Beach
Absolutely beautiful home that gives you a welcoming vibe from entering the house. So close to the beach and our dog loved it! The teenagers had plenty to do while we relaxed also. Would love to come back again and will recommend to family and friends.

Great little getaway at Shelleys at Culburra Beach
Booking it was easy and the agency was a pleasure to deal with. Our stay there was great. Great location to the beach. We took our doggies as well and the property is very secure for them. Weather wasn't always the greatest but the board games, table tennis, petanque etc were ideal. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Beach on your doorstep
The property location is perfect, just across the road from the beach path and the end of a no through road. Quiet with the sounds of the wave. The property is older and has quirky touches, but as we expected and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay with family, friends and our dog. The fenced back yard was great too!

The property was basic, in a good location. Mattress downstairs very uncomfortable. Upstairs was very hot, fans are ineffective. The "art installation" at the top of the stairs would be potentially dangerous if there were young children. Would not recommend this property to visitors with children.

Our Stay
The place is very convenient, close to everything—only a less than 5-minute walk to the beach. The location is very quite as well. A perfect place for a mini getaway. Checking in was hassle-free and the place was clean. There were some misses here and there. For example, one of the showerheads was a hand-held one. But generally, the place was of great value. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway close to the beach. Had a great time at the place.

Awesome holiday
A beautiful home that we felt so comfortable in. Child and pet friendly (secure fencing for small dogs). All the little touches to home from owners much appreciated including revolving pantry. Linen supplied and delivered by Aroma Linen Hire. Only suggestion would be a “house instruction booklet” and some more pots and pans for cooking pasta for example- such an enjoyable fortnight here in such a beautiful home - thank you - we will book again for sure

Nice house and environment
The property was nice and beautiful, with no problem finding it if you follow the instructions from the agent. just a bit too hot without aircon during really hot days, it was 40 degrees when we were there. Every thing was good , except we found a few cockroaches and spiders, and the oven was not clean (some baking paper was left on the tray).

Shelleys at Culburra
First impression, the front garden needs attention, the key safe is very hard to unlock, the old bbq in the backyard needs to be removed, the garage needs a good overhaul, very strong musty smell on entering the house (wet carpet??) and a doggy smell, no broom or vacuum supplied, makes it very hard to sweep the floors, especially as there was black ash entering the house because of the fires!!
The location is fabulous but for the price I think the place needs some T.L.C. Very well equipped and comfortable beds.

Discover seaside delights in Culburra Beach, where famous Australian photographer Max Dupain snapped the iconic Sunbaker picture in 1937. In the beautiful Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast, Culburra will enchant you with fine beaches, sparkling waterways and superb fishing.
Warrain Beach is Culburra’s surf beach and a major attraction where surfing, swimming, fishing and relaxing on fine white sands are popular activities. The Nowra Culburra Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach, south of Penguin Head. Culburra Beach Surf School offers surfing lessons and board hire.
Just north of Culburra are Crookhaven Heads Lighthouse and Crookhaven and Shoalhaven rivers, part of Australia’s Oyster Coast. You can taste succulent local oysters from Jim Wild’s Oyster Service at Greenwell Point, a charming village on the Crookhaven estuary and a short drive from Culburra.

While in Pyree, browse the gift shops at the historic Jindyandy Mill. There are more shopping opportunities in Culburra, such as Swinging Swaggy Pottery and Ocean Mirrors Gifts. To the south of Culburra is Lake Woolumboola — a popular waterway for sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing — and Currarong and Jervis Bay.
