Welcome to your perfect coastal vacation home. Pelican Watch 8A is poolside and lakefront, with a very short, easy walk to the beach. Nestled in the private, gated community of Litchfield by the Sea, this cozy half-duplex offers a special blend of quality, comfort, convenience, and natural beauty. With beautiful views, resort style amenities, and great layout, this villa is your ideal home base for rest, recreation, and relaxation.
The Property:
When you enter, you'll immediately notice the natural light which floods the main living area from the rooftop windows high above. The living room has an open & spacious atmosphere as well as comfortable, cozy furnishings with just the right amount of beachy vibe. This space features a large smart TV as well as a wet bar with a mini-fridge and an ice maker. This is a great place to gather your group for a movie night or conversations about your day on the beach. Off the living room, you'll have a nice deck for grilling and outdoor dining. The view is to the west and south across the lake, which has a nice fountain. Get ready for some beautiful sunsets! There are also two screened in porches, one on each side of the deck. There's nothing like a covered, screened porch when you need some shade, during cool evenings, or during a thunderstorm.
The fully equipped kitchen has been upgraded with granite counters as well as new appliances and floors. It has banks of cabinetry to store your snacks plus all of the provided dishes and small appliances - you'll have everything you need to prepare your meals and space to put things away. Just off the kitchen, the dining area offers comfortable seating for six, making it easy to gather for shared meals or game nights. For casual bites or socializing while cooking, there's also bar seating for two at the kitchen counter, and a table for two within the screened porch that is accessed from the dining room.
When you're not spending time together as a group, Pelican Watch 8A offers space where everyone can relax or get some rest. This includes three comfortable bedrooms with features that you'll appreciate. The primary suite is on the main level, a spacious and peaceful retreat. It features a king size bed, ceiling fan, HDTV, and access to the second screened porch, perfect for quiet mornings or evening downtime. This first bedroom also has its own private bathroom, which is quite large. There is a half bathroom off the living room, so Bedroom one and its bathroom do not need to be shared at all. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are upstairs from the main level. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed, a ceiling fan, and an HDTV, making it a great room for a couple. Bedroom 3 is bright and cozy, with two twin beds, a ceiling fan, and another HDTV, making it perfect for kids or singles. These bedrooms share a full bathroom, but both bedrooms have a sink and vanity in the bedroom, which makes sharing the full bathroom no problem at all. Also, remember that there is a half bathroom on the main level, right down the stairs. At this property, your group will have plenty of space for sharing or privacy.
Location:
Pelican Watch 8A has an enviable location within Litchfield By The Sea. Your walk to the beach is short and easy - so easy that you'll surely come home for lunch. In fact, making multiple visits to and from the beach for morning runs or sunset walks is normal. There are beachfront condos right across the street, but they have lots of people, commotion, and noise. Their pool is often packed full of kids. Pelican Watch, by contrast, is a quiet respite, yet still very convenient to the beach. It also has its own community pool, which is right next to this unit, and this pool is shared by a much smaller group of homes, so noise or commotion is seldom an issue. You're much more likely to have the pool all to yourself. It is open each year from approximately April to September. There are tennis courts and separate pickleball courts right down the street, and a fitness center at the clubhouse, all within easy walking distance.
Pawleys Island, Litchfield By The Sea, and Murrell's Inlet are part of South Carolina's âHammock Coast,â known for its quiet charm, pristine beaches, and relaxed atmosphere. You're just minutes from world-class golf courses, fresh seafood restaurants, boutique shopping, and historic sites. Brookgreen Gardens is a short drive away and Myrtle Beach is within easy reach for day trips and added adventure. Specifically, you'll find a large grocery store just across the highway from Litchfield By The Sea's front gate.
Arrival, Accessibility, Layout and Parking:

â Accessing the property: Like many beach houses, Pelican Watch is an elevated home. From your car to the front door there is half a flight of stairs, and then once you enter, you go up the other half a flight to the main level. Everything is on the main level, except for bedrooms 2, 3, and the upper level bathroom.
â Parking: There are 2 reserved, covered parking spaces available for this unit. There is also uncovered, shared parking that is first come, first served. Parking is rarely an issue. Please note, parking RVs, trailers, or boats is not allowed, without written, advance approval. If you will have a trailer or boat, or need additional parking options, please contact us before booking, to discuss your needs, and for more information.
