Recently renovated, the apartment in a historic building sleeps up to five guests in three bedrooms and has all the modern features to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Welcome to your perfect Hobart escape! Nestled in North Hobart, this beautiful and spacious penthouse of 180 square meters is a top floor conversion in one of Hobarts original historic homes and offers the best of both worlds - walkable to the many restaurants, shops and businesses in North Hobart and the city, and a relaxing, warm oasis to hurkle-durkle the day away with a view of the mountain and the Domain, a good book or game and a cosy lounge.
Whether you're here to explore, work remotely, or simply relax, this space is designed to make your stay unforgettable. The name, Grappa Court, comes from the large grapevine which covers the rear garden courtyard throughout summer and autumn. Book now and start your Tassie adventure.
The spacious apartment accommodates up to five guests, making it the ideal stay for families, friends, or small group looking to explore Hobart. Two generous sized bedrooms with King sized beds and a third bedroom is set up as a home office and has a new, comfortable fold-out single bed.
The apartment is very comfortable and cosy all year round, with excellent heating. In summer there are plenty of large windows to let in the mountain air and there are fans in several rooms if needed.
The modern kitchen features a Siemens induction cooktop and dishwasher, and a Breville coffee machine with grinder and milk steamer. This is in a beautiful open plan living/dining/kitchen space with views over to the Domain and nearby North Hobart Football grounds. Tea, coffee, and pantry basics are provided for your stay, as are bathroom essentials. The living area with carefully chosen furnishings, makes staying in a cosy alternative to hitting Hobart's attractions.
The second living area has views of Kunanyi/Mount Wellington, a large lounge and lounge chairs, a cosy gas fireplace along with a dining table. It is stocked with many books and games and opens to a rear sun-drenched balcony with outdoor dining table.
There are two stylish bathrooms, one with a large kaldewei bath, the other also houses our European style washing machine and dryer.
Whether youâre in Hobart for work or leisure, youâll love the location. Just a short 5-minute walk from the Elizabeth Street strip of North Hobart, with itâs dozens of restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, breweries and shops, plus the historic State Cinema and bookshop. And only a 5-minute drive, or 20-minute walk, to the CBD and the stunning Hobart waterfront.
Access is via a private dedicated staircase. No keys required, we will send you a personal entry PIN prior to your arrival. Secure keypad access through our side gate brings you to the staircase that leads to your apartment. You will find your stay very private and secure.
We do have a comfortable set-up for little feet but highlight the need for parents to monitor toddlers in the home.
Unlimited free parking is available directly in front of your apartment, or if needed around the corner.
The apartment is perched high above 2 lane, 2 directional Argyle St with low to medium traffic density. Hush windows and/or Plantation Shutters keep traffic noise at a minimum.
