Kathleen made us feel welcome and her communication was proactive and thorough. The guest guide gave us a great idea into what to bring, and what the kitchen was equipped with. As well as some things to do in the area! We checked out a restaurant near by at her suggestion and it was fantastic! She was approachable & friendly.The listing advertises "4-bd, 2-bath" which I did not find completely accurate. One bedroom has just enough space for a bunk-bed. An adult person was one shoulder to the bunk bed ladder and the other to the wall. There is just enough space to walk around the bed. The doors to get into that bedroom were a bi-fold door through the master bedroom, or a door leading off from the upstairs bathroom. Someone could theoretically be stuck in there if people were occupying both connected rooms.The 4th bedroom is actually the basement level where it is open concept to the rec room. There were few places to store belongings in both spaces.The 2nd bathroom only had a toilet, no sink.This home is more family-oriented and did not suit four adult friends needing their own spaces very well.The heat on the main floor is only a gas fireplace. There was a windstorm during our Nov stay and it was not able to keep the living room warmer than 13 degrees. The windows were very drafty and we spent the majority of our time in the basement as we had a guest with circulation issues that struggled in that level of cold. This cottage could do with some insulation.
