Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present "Bayview Cottage"! This home sleeps up to 8 guests.
Brand new interior remodel and beautiful landscaping - be among the first to enjoy this newly furnished and appointed Monterey home with a 2+ bedroom main house, plus private guest suite (third bedroom) with a private bathroom and kitchen.
Located just outside of historical downtown Monterey and about five blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, Del Monte Beach and the Monterey Bay Recreation Trail. Guests will appreciate having easy access to numerous restaurants, shops and activities like whale watching, all just a short walk from the home. The Recreation Trail is also perfect for cycling, so pop over to Adventures by the Sea to rent bikes so you can pedal in either direction, even exploring nearby Pacific Grove - Lover's Point is about 2.5 miles from the house. Rent bikes for the month and you can store them in the garage of your vacation home.
Living Space
A white picket fence, wooden arbor and Adirondack chairs on the paved patio at the front of the property welcome you when you arrive. Step into the cheerful foyer and let your vacation begin. A playful mixture of greens and blues are skillfully woven throughout the home and along with beautifully displayed art.
The main part of this 1972 sf home is on one level, with two steps up from the sidewalk level to the front entry. The garage, back yard and guest suite are on a lower level.
The stylish and comfortable living room includes a gas fireplace and a wifi-enabled Smart TV with streaming apps - guests should bring the logins to their own subscription services for programming.
The adjoining sun room has a day bed for lounging, a small writing desk, a peek of the nearby bay and access to the upper deck.
The stunning fenced back yard includes two covered seating areas, string lights, gas BBQ grill, loungers, a cornhole game and a golf putting green, plus Adirondack chairs around a gas fire pit - fun for everyone.
Kitchen and Dining
The updated and fully-equipped kitchen is nicely set up to prepare delicious meals at home and the open layout means that multiple chefs can help prep. A generous dining table that seats 8 is located in the eat-in kitchen space and it is a perfect place to gather for memorable meals, games and conversation.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Main house:
Bedroom #1 has a king bed, a large TV and an en-suite bathroom with a standing shower.
Bedroom #2 has a split king bed with foam topper or two twins and TV over a writing desk.
The full hall bath has a shower-over-tub combination.
The sun room space has a Twin day bed that is great for naps and lounging, or for overnight guests, in addition to a pull-out twin trundle. The sun room can be closed off from the main living area, or opened up as an extension of that space.
Guest Suite:
Bedroom #3 is located in the separate guest suite at the rear of the property. It has a queen bed, seating area, TV, a private bathroom with a shower, its own full kitchen and stacking washer and dryer. The separate entrance is through the back yard.
The washer and dryer is located in the garage which is on a lower level.
Parking for one small car is available in the garage (low profile) and another vehicle may park in the sloped driveway. Level street parking in front of the home is also permitted. Two permits are provided.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.
This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner.
