The property was perfect for our family trip with adult children, everyone had their own space. The hosts were very responsive and easy to contact. We’ll be back and highly recommend!!

This unit is typically used as student housing for the University of Minnesota. There are four bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The dining/living area is limited to an island with 3 stools. This setup worked well for our group of 8, 3 family units. However, the limited space for eating and food prep was challenging at times. The central location was convenient for traveling to different locations in the Twin Cities region. Parking is on the street, but we had no problem finding spots near the property. Each parking spot is monitored by the city of Minneapolis, but rates are reasonable: 0.50 per hour, 8 am to 5 pm, and free thereafter. Lighting was poor in the kitchen/living area. One bedroom/bathroom unit had soiled floors and shower problems. The other three were fine. The host was genuinely concerned about the problems and communicated well however, a remote management location made fixing problems difficult.

Turns out they gave us two keys for two different units. The second night of stay four people of our party were locked out of unit. Took the management company over three hours to rectify the situation. Our second night was ruined. The only compensation they offered was 28 of an 854 stay.

The kitchen had no toaster, cutting knives, very few cooking pots and pans, no blender. Only four large plates, 3 bowls. The Keurig coffee pods were old, some of them appeared to be spoiled. There was no salt or pepper. Very ill-equipped kitchen.Not all the bathrooms had hand soap or shower soapSome of the towels had stains. There was no indoor mat to place snow impacted shoes.We were planning on having Thanksgiving celebration at our VRBO, but as there were not enough cooking items, not enough plates on which to eat, we had to make other arrangementsI communicated this to the host when we departed.

BEWARE! Worst experience ever! Upon arrival smoke detector was blaring and with repeated communications, it took them almost 20 hours to fix it. The apartment did not appear to have been serviced, dirty walls, floors, bed pillows, without cases. Basic amenities were missing.There were only three towels for seven people. It didn’t look like the sheets had been changed. We went to a store and bought some Clorox wipes and cleaned the apartment ourselves and washed all the bed linens that were available. The apartment smelled terrible even with the windows open. When looking for cleaning supplies I found the utility closet in the hall with a large 3’ x 3’ box of dirty, musty smelling sheets and towel towels. We had to wipe down the refrigerator inside multiple times and after a day, it would still smell like something died in there. The beds were uncomfortable, and you could feel the iron rails underneath the mattresses. The host did respond relatively quickly, but any action was slow incoming as they are not on site and had contracted with someone to come in and take care of the place. When someone finally did come, they were not very helpful. I did contact the host multiple times and have sent pictures a week ago. They said they would make it right, but I have not heard back from them. It was so bad that if there had been another place to stay in town, we would’ve left, but there was a big event in the city and no other accommodations were available.

The apartment was nice. The rooms were very cute as well. The check in process was a little bit of a hiccup at first, but I was able to resolve it fairly easily because the host responded very quickly. There’s no free parking, which was the biggest down side. We only got one key for 8 people, so that was not very convenient either, considering you have to use the key to get in the building itself, and to use the elevator. Overall, the room itself and the host were very nice, I’d book again if I was in the area. All the downsides were merely because of location, or circumstance.
