This 1927 Silkstone Cottage is a self-check-in, non-smoking holiday home, sleeps up to 7 people.
Silkstone Cottage is almost 100 years old. It's located in a family suburban area. Therefore, the home is not suitable for parties or large gatherings. It has the old-world charm which we are sure you love and am sure youâd appreciated the beautiful and unique coloured stained-glass windows, solid timber doors and double sash timber windows and original VJ timber walls and ceilings.
There are two fully screened bedrooms, a double sofa bed in the lounge and a single and trundle in the under-croft third bedroom. The undercroft bedroom is accessible by external stairs.
The light-filled living area & functional kitchen make this home as comfortable as its original charming features. The home has been fully updated with new furniture and appliances in March 2025. It has is fully airconditioned with new units installed in March 2025 also.
The kitchen includes a full-sized fridge and a bar fridge. There is a new Bosch dishwasher, a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, airfryer, free double sized electric fan forced free standing oven with 5 burner gas cook top. Fire Extinguisher and Blanket are also available.
Home laundered bed linen and towels, face washers, and make up face washers are provided.
There is unlimited wifi and two brand new TVs for you to watch free to air as well as to login to your own streaming services.
The yard has plenty of space for your kids & fur babies to play. A BBQ is available downstairs in the outdoor under croft area. You'll also find a small and a large dog stretcher beds. Outside you'll also find a small firepit.
There are laundry facilities, including a top loader washer machine and dryer, including a supply of detergent should you wish to wash items during your stay.
There are side gates to the left of the house which you can open if you would prefer to put your vehicles in the driveway behind the gates, alternatively driveway parking is perfectly ok, as well as on street parking.
Exterior security cameras will be installed.
Situated minutes from Silkstone Village and Ipswich Central including hospitals and shopping centres, the university and TAFE, with easy access to public transport and major roads.
Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and IGA are all within 2kms drive or walk if you feel like some exercise. Other shopping experiences are close by.
Top of Town located on Brisbane Street bordered by the Ellenborough Street and Waghorn Street intersections, with a number of heritage listed buildings, is known as the historic precinct full of cafes, restaurants, boutiques, hair salons and specialty shops.
