Escape to the beauty of Harbour Island with a stay in our cozy 1-bedroom cottage, ideally located on the peaceful and picturesque Dunmore Street. This artistic retreat is perfect for a small family or couple looking to enjoy a relaxing weekend on the island. While the cottage is designed with comfort and charm in mind, it also offers plenty of space for up to 3 guests (2 adults and 1 child). Note: this cottage has no right in town and has no outdoor space.

The open-concept living area includes a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. A large dining table provides plenty of room for enjoying family meals, working remotely and a comfortable seating area adds a cozy touch for winding down in the evenings. The walls are bursting with Bahamian photography scenes making the place full of color and vibrance.

Whether you're here for a long weekend getaway or looking to explore all that Harbour Island has to offer, this cottage provides the perfect base. Beach lovers will appreciate being just a short distance from the island’s stunning Pink Sand Beach and you'll find local restaurants and shops only a 1 minute walk away, allowing you to easily immerse yourself in the island's laid-back charm.

This cottage is also available to rent in conjunction with our main rental property Salt Box, which can accommodate up to 10 guests—ideal for larger groups or multi-family vacations who want the option of staying close together while enjoying their own private spaces. We love how close it is to everything in town, you are part of the hustle and bustle but so near the beach but you can come home to a quiet and cute space.

SugarCube is a beautiful gem in Harbour Island. Ideally centered in colonial Dunmore Town, it is a truly fabulous place to stay. Both cosy and classy, it has all the amenities for a romantic sejour for 2.

Amazing spot

I recently stayed at this amazing place, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the island, making it easy to explore all the local attractions and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. The highlight of my stay was definitely the host. She is incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay with a wonderful host. I can't wait to return!

Beautiful and perfect stay - the perfect gem!

This was such a fun and perfect place to stay. While I thought it may be small given it is a cottage, there was more than enough room for a couple. The place was decorated with true Bahamian beach style, which was so fun - every detail was perfect, and the location was great as well! Would love to come back

Nestled in the heart of town - Sugar Cube is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway! The interior is gorgeous. You can zip to the beach, shopping, any of the restaurants in no time. Highly recommend & can’t wait to return!

Harbour island solo trip

I came to Harbour Island for a solo getaway and this place could not have been more perfect. From the beautiful decor to the location, I honestly felt like I was at home. Everything around me was so safe and secure, and I felt like I was in an art gallery. They have done a beautiful job of making this place feel as cozy as possible!

Our new home away from home

I don’t have enough words to describe how much we loved staying at Sugar Cube! This was mine and my daughter’s (9 y/o) first trip to Harbor Island and this little cottage made it absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of being home & said too many times that we wish we could move in forever, just send the dogs! The house is perfectly located right on one of the main streets, just a block or two from the government dock. We had a golf cart waiting for us there and zipped right over, although it would have been a breeze to walk as well. It’s in a great location to walk to shops, the grocery store, restaurants, and even several churches (we walked up the street to the Anglican Church for Easter services!), but like most people on the island, having a cart is the way to go. The house is clean and has everything you need and more! Beach towels, cooler, plenty of extra bedding, towels, a washer and dryer, two bathrooms, great little kitchen, and even a tv in the small second room. Or, as my daughter called it, “her secret room.” She was beyond obsessed with this little space and was perfectly happy to go “home” to play and relax in it. The upstairs primary was spacious and comfortable. I loved leaving the windows open in the afternoons while getting ready for dinner to hear the sounds of the busy street. I also loved the several Sonos speakers around the house that we nearly constantly had playing music. We truly loved this home and will be back!
