There's so much to do at our riverside retreat. Downtown Ellijay is 12 minutes away and Blue Ridge is 20-30 minutes. You will surely enjoy the quaint antique shops in Ellijay and some great locally owned restaurants and breweries. And if wine is your “thing”, we have several awarding winning wineries to choose from in our amazing little mountain town. Ellijay hosts the Apple Festival every year in October. We have many local orchards and farms that offer fun things to do (especially for kids) and wonderfully unique opportunities for local ware and fare. And if that isn't enough, just south of Ellijay is Carter's Lake and Amicalola Falls. You can rent a boat at the marina at Carter's Lake or Lake Blue Ridge. This cabin is equipped with everything you need and more. We continually hear from our guests how they bring things they never need because we provide it for them. We have added extra touches and essentials that other vacation rentals just don't offer to their guests. We want you to have everything you need and even things you don't need but will enjoy. We want to provide you with the perfect environment to relax with love ones and friends so you can create wonderful memories rather than spending time at the store having to pick up numerous incidentals yourself.

There are 4 spacious bedrooms with French doors leading directly to either the terrace, the porch or the balcony and all of them have views of the river. Our cabin is NOT the place for parties of any kind. We welcome families and mature guests.

Mountaintown River Retreat is uniquely suited for adults and kids. There is a special place for everyone. The loft caters to adults with a dry bar & large screen tv. While the game room area is designed for kids with an air hockey table, large screen tv, dvd player, 300+ movies, PS3 (and games), board games, puzzles, books, toys and more are provided.

There are multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy as well and all of them with river view. There are several porches, balconies, outdoor swings, hammock, fire pit, hot tub and a variety of outdoor dining options.

There are many attributes setting our cabin apart from others and it's been creatively and thoughtfully appointed to promote quality time and to simply unplug. WiFi & cell service isn't ideal in this mountain setting.
