Sweet Suite by the Sea - Nanaimo, BC

Welcome! Our newly constructed two bedroom suite is perfectly situated in North Nanaimo between Neck Point and Pipers Lagoon. View the Salish Sea from your breakfast table or take a coffee with you on a short (7 minute) walk to the forest and coastal trails of Neck Point. Our suite is on a bus route and only ten minutes from the Departure Bay ferry terminal. We are a short drive to all amenities and a perfect location for day tripping to local attractions within and around the Nanaimo area.
The space
Our bright, open concept suite features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a cozy living room (with comfortable sofa!), a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher) with stocked coffee bar and large kitchen island for gathering.

The primary bedroom features a luxury queen size bed and soft, cozy bedding. This room also features a wall mounted television, full size dresser and large closet. The secondary bedroom features a solid custom-built bunk with a lower double bed (with lots of head room for adults to sit up!) and an upper single bed. This ocean themed room features an underwater wall mural, water-like lighting, and a ‘Cozy Cove’ for kiddos to cuddle up and get away from it all. This room really is a little magical!

The suite also has air conditioning, insuite laundry and a beautiful private deck space to enjoy your morning coffee!

As an added bonus, the ‘Sweet’ in our 'Sweet Suite' name means each guest will be gifted home baked goodies upon their arrival. Cindy loves to bake!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire lower suite with a separate entry. Guest parking is located on the lower level of the driveway. If you have mobility challenges or difficulty walking on an incline (the driveway is quite steep) we can arrange for an alternate parking spot that is more accessible (with no stairs or hills to navigate).

Sensory Sensitive:
Our suite was designed to ensure a relaxing environment for all of our guests. However, as a family of neurodivergent and sensory sensitive folks, we have thoughtfully designed the space with additional accommodations in mind. We have used soft colour tones, dimmable lighting, cozy spaces, and unique details to especially support those who have difficulty being away from the comforts of home. Our suite also uses unscented cleaning and hygiene products, different lighting options, sleep noise machines and additional items such as weighted blankets for your comfort. During construction of the space, we also opted for additional sound proofing between the suites to help further minimize noise transfer.

Pets:
We have one doggo named Charlie and two cats, Daisy and Mo. If you see Charlie or Daisy, they both love a good tummy rub! We also have a few chickens (very quiet) living in an enclosure in our back yard. If you are interested in meeting them (or you want fresh eggs!), just let us know – we are happy to introduce you!
