Cozy Pet Friendly Cottage, 2 story Deep Water Dock - bring your boat!

Quiet family & dog friendly home on Lake Hartwell with a large deck and two level boat dock. Very deep water (23 feet at dock when lake is full) means not worrying about summertime water drops and no touching your feet on the bottom when swimming and no muddy water! Two jet ski ports for keeping your water craft out of water and secure during your stay. Bring your boat too, there is plenty of room to tie up to the dock! There is a small boat ramp that is located in same cove and very easy to get to (Port Bass boat ramp). The spacious upper dock is furnished with cushioned furniture and sunshade. Kayaks are also available to be used to explore our large and quiet cove. The large 20'x30' deck overlooks the lake while keeping dogs and small children secure with gates and fencing. Multiple tables with sunshades, grill, and mosquito lamps will keep you comfortable while grilling out lunch or dinner. Full size washer and dryer along with two full size refrigerators. In addition the house is equipped with central air and smart TV. Master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds, and living room has a queen size pull out sofa bed. Concrete parking area is 35'x50' so there is room for your vehicle and trailer. Fast fiber WiFi included. There are multiple State and Federal parks in the area with hiking and biking trails. We are only 30 minutes to Clemson University and one hour to University of Georgia.

We are about a 10 minute boat ride to Harbor Light Marina where there are boat rentals available. There is also a lakeside restaurant, Tilly's, there at the marina that we love to take a quick boat ride for a bite to eat and a cold beer. Level 2 car charger available.

Peter and jennifer were great hosts.They even brought over an outdoor heater because it was a bit chilly, and we were able to barbecue outside with the heater totally above and beyond. Would most definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay on Lake Hartwell. The home was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. Drinking our coffee in the morning on the boat dock, watching the sun rise and the fish jump was a wonderful way to start the day. Great location between Greenville and Atlanta with easy access to the upcountry. Peter was very prompt with communications and very accommodating with check-in and check-out times. We would highly recommend his cottage on the lake!

This property meet all our expectations. We had a restful stay as it was a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean. The fishing from the dock was good and was a good place to swim. The Wi-Fi and TV reception was excellent. The host was helpful and very responsive.

Fun in Fair Play!

We really enjoyed this property! It was very clean and well equipped. The furniture and beds are very comfortable with plenty of extra sheets and blankets available. The back deck is large and great for grilling out, plus the little fire pit area was nice too! Don’t worry about being hot because the HVAC system is massive you will stay plenty cool! If you like to sleep with fans I would suggest bringing some as I didn’t see any. On the dock you will find a big chest full of floats and other things plus there is a cabinet with life jackets as well. You also have access to the kayaks. The top deck is awesome you have a great view of the lake and lots of sun! We chose to stay during the week so most of the good local places to eat don’t open till Thursday but the The Spotted Pig BBQ and Tilly’s Tiki Bar, plus the local bakery were excellent! We would definitely stay there again!The check in/out process was super easy and the hosts are extremely accommodating and will respond to messages very quickly! This was my first VRBO experience and we couldn’t have found better hosts!

Amazing Stay!

We really enjoyed our time at this home. Although the house is small, it is very clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything, including plenty of hooks to dry towels or bathing suits, a nice welcome book with any information you may need, and a very well equipped kitchen. The best part was the outside space and dock. Our boys (and us!) enjoyed jumping from the second story of the dock, and we never could make it to the bottom to touch! No grass or mud kicking your feet is a plus! The stairs into the water were easy and comfortable, compared to a typical ladder that can hurt your feet. The walk up and down the stairs definitely had us breathing heavily, but not enough to stop us from enjoying it. The shade covers the dock in the evening and the weather couldn’t have been better. We went tubing in Helen, about an hour away. Also, went north about 1 hour and 45 minutes to a rock slide, in Brevard NC! It’s the perfect location to explore mountains and the lake alike. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

3rd time at this wonderful place

This is our 3rd time here. We love the location. Very seclude and quiet cove. Only 10 minutes ride to the marina where we rent a pontoon boat. Space to park the boat and enjoy the dock. We caught tons of fish this time around. We plan to be back.

We enjoyed our week at the lake. Everything we needed was available. The host communicated very well with any questions we had. Home was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the large deck but did have to clean the deck off on arrival due to leaves etc.

Comfy stay on the lake!

Loved this property! It was so clean and cozy. The owner was communicative and helpful. We were in town for a graduation, and the drive to the events was convenient. We didn’t get the weather to use the dock. But it was really nice, and we’d love to stay again and get to enjoy it!

Family Weekend

This property was perfect!! Our family and our dog all enjoyed many hours spent out on the dock and in the water. House was as listed, and we will definitely stay here again in the future! Enjoyed going on the kayaks and tubes on the lake, or just relaxing on the comfy couch.This host has thought of everything to make this stay a fantastic one!!

Quiet area. Great dock to lounge. Kayak to nearby beach areas where our dog could run and enjoy the water. Host communications were great and promptly responded. Large deck on back of house with large table.

Myself, my wife and our 16 year old daughter LOVE spending weekends on Lake Hartwell at Boomerang Cottage when we aren't sharing it with others.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The lake views are gorgeous from the back deck and especially from the top level of the double decker dock! The dock is perfectly situated in a beautiful deep water cove with little boat traffic and no docks across the way.
