This quaint little cottage dates from 1861 and is full of rustic charm. With a private garden and situated among other heritage cottages in famous Petticoat Lane and just a leisurely 5 minute stroll from Penola town centre, Davidson's Cottage is a romantic, relaxing and convenient retreat for two, ideal for together time and special occasions. Your accommodation includes the entire cottage, private garden, air-con, open fire, complimentary wifi, secure on-site car parking, contactless arrival, peace and quiet and all that the good life of the Coonawarra has to offer.Â
Visited the area for the field day so we didn't get the chance to explore as much as we would have liked, but the property was great, the surrounding food was delicious and the curious alpaca was an interesting surprise to the morning.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in this historical cottage and neighborhood. The decor both outside and inside was perfect without being over the top. Only stayed for 2 nights and upon leaving wished we had organized to stay longer. Communication with the host, Jen, was efficient both leading up to and on the day of arriving. Would love to visit again and will recommend to family and friends.
Great historical place to stay, walking distance to everything panola has to offer. Cottage is snug and cosy. Im 6'2" so have a few bumps on my head....haha. all wineries within a short drive.
We enjoyed the "Old World" feel of the property and Petticoat Lane. Highly recommend. Should say that temperature dropped at night, so bring your woolies!
Davidson Cottage was charming and cosy and very well situated for a walk into the Penola township or a drive to the wineries. Our hosts had thought of everything we may need and we made good use of the open fire, whilst our little dog loved the sun filled fenced yard and getting to know the Alpaca next door. This was a great base to explore the Coonawarra and we have stocked up our cellar for winter. We certainly hope to return.
