Love Reunion, This Property Has Some Issues
There's a lot we love about staying at Reunion Resort: the beautiful properties, the lovely water park, the restaurants and other amenities. Unfortunately, our two week stay at this property did not meet up with the typical Reunion Resort stay we've become accustomed to during our prior visits.
To begin with: the house has 5 bedrooms, but it was unclear from the photos that it has the master bedroom and another bedroom on the second floor, but 2 other bedrooms are also on the second floor, but those two second floors are not connected. It makes it feel as though the second floor with the other 2 rooms is in a different house. This is not great if you have little kids, but likely fine if you're traveling with multiple families.
The house itself is nice, although a bit smaller than others we've stayed at in Reunion. The couches were very uncomfortable and the lighting in the dining room was too dim to eat dinner there. The kitchen lacked basic household amenities like a salt and pepper shaker. You can tell it's all relatively new appliances which is nice, but the house doesn't feel like anyone ever lived there, and lacks some of the household supplies we maybe took for granted in other Reunion properties. We ended up purchasing bath towels as those provided were very small and purchased blankets as there were none in the house.
The biggest issue we had is that because there is a vacant lot next door, the noise carries, and on the other side of the vacant lot are 2 16-bedroom houses. During our stay these were packed with people having a party and outside in the swimming pool sometimes until 4am. The noise carried to the master bedroom in a way that you'd be laying in bed and it sounded like the people in that pool 2 doors down were right next to you. We had to call security 4x in one evening, despite Reunion's alleged 11pm quiet time. Thankfully, the other bedrooms could not hear this noise, but it was very disruptive almost every night in the master suite.
The bathrooms all were fine, the water pressure in the master shower was the worst in all of the bathrooms in the house, which was disappointing and could be fixed with a decent shower head replacement.
Our ice maker stopped working about halfway through the visit. A call to Reunion had them promptly send a repairman, who was unable to remedy the situation. Thankfully, we were able to fix it on our own with a YouTube video.
Our stay was fun because, of course, we were at Disney and it was Christmastime, so we were still happy, but these issues made it so that while I would definitely return to another stay in Reunion, it would not ever be at this property.
