The Lookout has a unique view over the Pataua and Taiharuru estuaries out to the sea. Wake up to the brilliant sunrise over the ocean and sit outside soaking in the stars and kiwi calls at sunset.
The lookout is a fully equipped 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a private house. There is a double bedroom with gorgeous sunrise views, twin room, bathroom with separate granite shower room, and laundry. Note that there are no blinds or curtains in the rooms, but bedroom windows are tinted for privacy and face into gardens.
The kitchen and lounge area opens onto to terrace nestled amongst a palm garden. There is an outdoor picnic table and space to hang your beach gear out to dry.
There is a massive sloping lawn with plenty of space for a game of cricket, or for the kids to ride bikes.
There is a dedicated car park next to the apartment with boat parking available on the property by request.
In summer there is usually a store at Pataua South campground, or it is a 10 minute drive to the shops and cafes at Parua Bay.
5 minutes drive from Pataua South where you can swim, fish, paddle, or surf.
15 minutes drive from the walking tracks at Whangarei Heads.
30 minutes drive from Whangarei town center.
