The stay was more than we could of imagined especially with my first morning awakening to the most amazing stunning sunrise we would definitely go back for another stay great present for my husbands 60th and Ellie was great to deal with xx
Amazing views and easy access to beach and fun for the entire family. Home had all we needed and also toys for our younger children including beach toys. We loved the location.
Ellie was fantastic and welcomed us to her gorgeous home as if we were family. The house was stunning and well appointed. We had such an amazing time and would happily recommend Ellieâs home as one of the best stays in NZ
The character of the building is interesting, the setting is amazing, great privacy while still being close, access to the beaches is well formed steep track so great if you are able. Access to the house requires use of steps and there are some accessibility challenges. There is everything you could want to enjoy your stay.
We had an amazing 4 nights in this Kiwiana Bach. Million-dollar views, and only a 3 minute walk to either Kaiteriteri beach or little Kaiteriteri. 5 minute walk to restaurants, cafe, etc. Ellie was lovely to deal with, and great communication. thanks again for sharing your house in such a wonderful location, you will be sure to see us again. Regards Gary, Jo & Brooke
Though the photos in the listing are impressive, they can't possibly represent how spectacular, private and convenient this gem of a cabin is.
From the time we arrived, greeted by Ellie we loved this place and can't wait to return.
It is quaint and cozy and with Ellie's encouragement and advice about the neighbourhood we immediately felt at home.
Perched on a hill above Kaiteriteri beach with gorgeous views, this home is a wonderful, peaceful place to stay while visiting Abel Tasman Natl Park. Ellie couldn't have been more kind and helpful, and we appreciated the thoughtful gifts she left to welcome us. Her home reflects the love with which it was built and decorated. We took great hikes right from the house, spent a delightful rainy day just relaxing at home and enjoying the views, and loved our day exploring Abel Tasman Park by water taxi and on foot. We spent three nights at "Heart of Kaiteriteri" and would have loved to stay longer. Ellie and her home will hold a special place in our memories of New Zealand.
Rustic, quiet, elevated and comfortable with excellent amenities and first class view of beach. Easy walk to village. Can recommend and would stay again.
Lovely place to stay for a short break, everything you could need for a beach holiday. Handy to all Kaiteriteri has to offer, including the mountain bike park. Very friendly, courteous and hospitable host. Thank you Ellie, we'd love to visit again.
Unbeatable location tucked away in the bush with beautiful sea views.
Property is set out beautifully and had everything we could ask for.
Ellie is a superb and welcoming host.
Ellie is kind and welcoming. All extras appreciated and a well provided home away from home. The outside bbq table is a winner for post beach relaxation and drinks!
This is our second time staying in Ellie's home and it was just as delightful this time as the last. The location simply cannot be beaten and Ellie has considered and catered everything you could possibly want. We will see you again Ellie!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. The views and short stroll to the beaches were perfect. Ellie was so helpful on check in and gathering up the items we failed to pack đŻ and returned them to us. Wish we could be back there now:)
We had the loveliest weekend here with our group of friends. It's a beautiful location and we felt completely relaxed. The house is cosy and full of gorgeous character. Ellie was a very friendly host and we appreciated her hospitality. We would definitely come again!
What a magnificent house , Ellie has thought of everything guests require for a care free stay, including age appropriate toys for children, wine on arrival, coffee , chocolate and more. The views are unreal and thereâs a great outdoor area with access down to the beaches. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very comfortable and clean accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful location on a bushy hill overlooking the beach on one side and the estuary on the other side - couldn't have asked for better.
This was the home of New Zealand fiction writer Michael Henderson, first New Zealand Master of Fine Arts graduate of the University of Iowa Writersâ Workshop, whose books can be enjoyed in the house.
The house was built in 1997 on the bare section bought in 1970 and has not changed hands in that time. It gives a comfortable and authentic holiday experience and does not simply transport the visiting guests to another suburban setting.
