We really enjoyed our stay in Paihia. Water activities and shops are all within walking distance and the house itself was elevated and very homely, it had everything you could need for a fantastic family holiday with great memories made. Thanks Mary.
Wonderful location with a beautiful view. The house is comfortable and well cared for. The owners are supportive and most helpful and Paihia is a cute little town with many places to eat and shop.
Our family was sad to leave and we hope to return again one day.
We loved the house and itâs location. The neighborhood was quiet and it felt safe. We liked that we could walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The driveway is a little tricky to get in and out of.
It was a delight to wake up to bird song! The heat is definitely an issue, but well compensated with the air conditioner. My husband thinks I'm also amazing at navigating the driveway; once you've done it, there are no problems thereafter. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with me and mine - a wonderful Christmas with great memories.
This beautifully appointed Bach is only a short walk from town yet offers a peaceful retreat with far reaching views over the Bay of Islands.
Everything was just right - exactly as described on the website. Wifi connection was excellent. The beds were very comfy.
Our lovely host, Mary, met us on arrival, showed us round and answered our questions. She also responded quickly to a couple of messages we sent and was kind enough to call and check we were ok when the state of emergency was declared.
Despite having appalling weather we really enjoyed our stay at this property and were sad to leave.
Would definitely come again.
The house was in a great location, only a short walk from Paihia. We enjoyed the walk through the bush into town and it was helpful not having to take the car when carparks were in short supply. The house itself was modern, immaculately clean and tidy and well appointed. It had deliciously comfortable beds and everything else we needed for a relaxing stay. The view over the treetops was a bonus.
The owner was a pleasure to deal with and provided lots of helpful information on arrival.
In short, this was a fantastic base for our family of five. It absolutely exceeded our expectations.
This house is an excellent base for two couples or family to enjoy the Bay of Islands. It is set in a quiet area of Paihia but with easy access to shops, restaurants, boat tours, etc. In an elevated position, it offers brilliant views from the living area and the two main bedrooms. It is very well appointed with all the facilities needed for cooking, etc. The outdoor deck is an excellent place to enjoy a few drinks and a bbq. The house is set in a bush garden of tree ferns and other natural vegetation. The host, Mary, was most welcoming and helpful and the check in process was very easy. We would highly recommend this house to others.
Lovely property in a fantastic location - we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely stay again. Mary was friendly, accommodating and gave us lots of local information to make the most of our stay.
Super house with great views in a central location. House very well equipped.
Mary was great to deal with and even left us a welcome gift!
Great base to explore Paihia and the surrounding area.
We really enjoyed this property, it had everything that we needed, was very clean, comfortable beds, and great location.
Mary was great to deal with, Mary made sure we were all set up for a great week.
Thank you for having us.
The property was lovely. Unfortunate that you could hear the loud music from the restaurant every night (for the first 2 nights thought it was the neighbours having a party) investigated on the 3rd night to hear it was coming from further down and was a restaurant. I wouldnât stay again only because of the loud music every night unfortunately.
Guests over the past years have all commented on how convenient the house is placed for walking access to Paihia and the many starting points for activities on the Bay area. They've enjoyed being able to leave the car behind as they explore, not being bound to a car on their holiday in the Bay.
