Great spot for old and young families.definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.
Great communication with owner.perfect place for anyone who loves being next to the water or needs to get away for a quick break. Awesome spot and great feeling in the house
The house was big enough for all of us. Location is great. Right on the shore. It has everything you need and is OK for the price, but is quite dated and the different floor levels are a challenge for older people. Also no smoke alrms that we could see.
This is a real kiwi bach right on the water front. Great views over the bay with many boats taking advantage of a well sheltered safe place to swim and play.
Fantastic place to stay. Safe beach for kids and great fishing right on the front door. Friendly area. Absolutly loved our stay. The bach is a real kiwi bach with all its little quirks. Would highly recommend and would absolutly stay again.
This is a traditional old kiwi bach with quirks &, as was explained by our host, it is not a motel & not new, it was clean & comfortable & just what we expected. We are used to such bach's, it was ideal for us for the one night being right by the Bay & we enjoyed our stay there.
The area and location of the house blew us away. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. We spent hours swimming and kayaking in the safe, clean breathtaking bay of Taurikura.
When your this close to the water for the price the Bach is really well priced.
We loved our stay with all the quirks this Bach has!
Will book again no hesitation
Thanks
Great views, so close to the water. Clean.
Note : Access to property is not off the street address but a track between the water and few house along the water.
As explained in message from host, this is a traditional kiwi bach - meaning sheets, pillowcases, towels, teatowels and toilet paper need to be brought with you.
The hosts description of this bach is 100% on point. Me and my family absolutely loved it from the moment we walked in and would love to go back again. The house definitely has its 'quirks' but its so homely and the view is amazing. I worried about dishes and what i should have brought just in case leading up to arrival but there is no shortage. Overall it was the perfect getaway and i would definitely go again. Highly recommended.

The floors a bit wonkey, but the beach views, good company, and a couple of drinks well compensated for this.
A family get together at Whangarei Heads required beds for four adults and the bach filled the need perfectly. Plenty of space, views, kitchen facilities, views, bathroom facilities and views. Perfect.
Beautiful location with beautiful veiws plenty of space for the family park at the end of the road which is handy for the kids if you have kids make sure you pack them aqua shoes as theres sharp rocks and shells at beachfront its not a sandy beach was good to take kayaks out kids enjoyed that alot and got to have a fish when the tide was high
the no wifi was good for our family had kids off there devices and outside exploring
Beautiful setting and well appointed bach, very cosy. The only negative was one of the doors to the outside didn't lock (they should a put a bolt in) so we had to take our valuables with us whenever we went out.
There was no hot water in the shower, the bedding and bedrooms smelled awful -- my daughter said the downstairs bed smelled like vomit -- but worst of all for me who has a rodent phobia, we saw three mice in the kitchen area. I know it is not expensive and it has a wonderful location but I don't feel the above are acceptable.
