Welcome to Cedar Shake Garden Retreat, a charming and historical home located in the heart of downtown Suttons Bay. Built in 1902, this cedar shake home is situated just one block from local shops, restaurants, and bars, making it the perfect location for a relaxing vacation.

With its prime location on the Leelanau Wine Trail, you'll have easy access to some of the best wineries in the area. And when you're ready to hit the beach, you'll be just two blocks away from Suttons Bay Beach.

The Space:
This family-friendly home has something for everyone. Kids will love the dedicated lower level with trundle bets, games, toys, and a ping pong table. The large backyard with a fire pit, gas grill, and plenty of seating is perfect for a summer evening BBQ.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the beautiful front porch overlooking downtown Suttons Bay. And when it's time to hit the beach, we provide beach chairs for our guests.

The home is fully stocked with all the supplies you'll need for your stay. Sleeping arrangements include a king bed in one room, queen beds in each of the other three bedrooms, two trundle beds (4 twin mattresses) in the lower level, and a pull-out sofa in the living room.

Sleeping Arrangements are as follows:
Upstairs room 1: King bed
Upstairs room 2: Queen Bed
Upstairs room 3: Queen Bed
Upstairs room 4: Queen Bed
Lower Level: 2 sets of trundle beds (totaling 4 twin mattresses)
Living Room: 1 pull-out sofa.

Please note:
- We list this home as able to sleep 12, but can accommodate up to 14 with a pull-out sofa in the main floor living room.
- While this home does not have central air- each upstairs bedroom has an AC window unit, ceiling fan, or floor fan to help cool the space. The main living room has a AC window unit, and the basement, where the trundle beds are located has a ceiling fan but stays cool.

The entire home & garage (fits one vehicle).

Our home is located in Downtown Suttons Bay, just one block back from the main street!

Getting Around:
Walking distance to downtown Sutton's Bay. Downtown Traverse City is just a 17 mile drive away!

Travel Advisory: Local Road Construction
Please note that there is ongoing road construction on Grandview Parkway between Division Street and Cherry Bend Road, which may result in slightly longer travel times to and from downtown Traverse City from your location. This construction does not affect access to the home directly and will not impact your stay at the property. We recommend allowing a few extra minutes for travel during your visit, or seeking an alternative route in Google Maps.

Other Things to Note:
This is a strictly non-smoking property, including all indoor and outdoor areas.

Pet Policy:
Guests must inform us in advance or immediately after booking if they plan to bring a pet. A $100 non-refundable fee PER PET will apply, as well as a $500 refundable pet security deposit. We do not allow for any more than 2 pets per stay.
