Great apartment, good hosts. Wish there was more silverware and dishes since we were there for 2 weeks. Also wish there was a comforter or duvet on the bed instead of a fleece blanket meant for a couch. Overall good stay just a couple small things I would change!

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights. The unit was clean and as advertised. For the most part we were only in the unit to sleep - as we were out for most of the days. We did not prepare our own meals there, so we used only a few of the dishes (very easy to hand wash) and none of the appliances other than the fridge. I will agree with other reviews that the unit is not soundproof - however, the noise was not bothersome to us. For the most part it was family interactions at the front door (goodbyes) and some beautiful musical instrument sounds. (The connecting door leads to the landing of the main living space. I think if a draft stopper / sound buffer was put on the bottom of the door the sound would be minimalized.) It would have been convenient to have a bit more space in the bedroom, but we just left out open suitcases on the floor since we were not there long. The drive to/from Halifax is quick and easy. Traffic was never too heavy. There is a gas station / convenience store within a short walking distance that we went to for snacks and drinks. All in all - a very pleasant stay and worked well for our short stay.

Tax haven

Disappointing aspects of the unit was there were only 2 of every thing for cooking. Ie. 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 knives, 2 plates, etc. The unit came with a dishwasher, though it seemed a waste to put so little in and run the dishwasher. When we arrived there was only a third toilet paper, not sure if there was no contact number to confirm if we need to supply ourselves. Fortunately there were stores within 10 minute drive of the unit. We were there over a Friday to Monday and it seemed that the people above yelled for a few hours for a couple of the evenings. The unit was non smoking but every night around 10 pm there was strong odour of pot wafting into the unit. The good was the unit was as described with plenty of space. Plenty of hot water and clean. It was convenient to get on/off the highway and easy to get to the sites we wanted to see while in the Halifax area.

As a family living in this area with our children, we strive to provide a comfortable stay for our guests. Regarding the utensils, we provided 2 sets of 5 different types, including forks, knives, spoons, plates, and more, with some disposable options available as well. Guests are always welcome to purchase additional items from the nearby convenience store if needed. As for the pot smell, we understand it was bothersome, but it actually came from another neighbor who smoked outside. We'll take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. We're glad you enjoyed the unit's space, cleanliness, and convenient location.

We stayed 5 nights Oct 2025. The place is clean, king bed was amazing. The family upstairs can be l bit noisy. We were awaken two mornings to loud discussions to say the least. However the rest of the time the noise was minimal, actually enjoyable to hear laughter. Kitchen: Amenities are minimal. I X-Large cook pot and one small frying pan and nothing in between. No cutting board of any size and no pairing knives or butcher style knives. No mixing bowl of any size. Just dishes and cutlery for a table setting with drinking glasses. Yes wine glasses which did add a positive for me. I would have preferred a stove instead of a hot plate. We wanted a place where we would do our own cooking and this did not work for us. No tea towels provided just dish cloths and watered down dish soap. But all n all the kitchen works. Bathroom: nice and clean with soft plush towels.The anti slip mat in the tub is very dangerous. Even when knowing it could slip you are in danger. Needs to be replaced immediately. We could have used more than one hand towel as 5 days is a long time to use one hand/face towel between two people. There were three bath towels, 2 face cloths and one hand towel. Bath mat was in cupboard under the sink. Laundry: Even though the laundry is in the suite the power is disconnected patrons can not use it. Bedroom: lots of space with no where to lay out clothes. We used the table and chair and ironing board. Couch was not comfortable. Well used.

Spacious comfortable bed room. There is a closet to hang some clothes.

Tub with mat that nearly took me down more than a couple times.

Kein Palast, eher einfache, solide Verhältnisse

Die Wohnung war sauber und zufrieden stellend eingerichtet. In der Nacht hat manchmal die Air-Condition ein wenig gestört. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war freundlich und respektvoll.Mit dem Bus ist das Stadtzentrum von Halifax in einer guten Stunde erreichbar.
