This Smart Home is set alongside Cincinnati OH and thriving MainStrasse Village in Covington KY. Itâs conveniently located next to everything cool and trendy in Downtown, Bellevue and Newport ... only four blocks from the Ohio River.
THE SPACE
Always Friday is for everyone - families, business travelers, singles, couples, friends (two-leggers or four-leggers). Itâs a private apartment for 1 to 2, who will feel at home with a fully-stocked kitchen and laundry nook, outdoor patio, Netflix and Apple TV, Amazon Alexa, drinks, coffee, snacks and more! As hosts of 3 other rentals, we always hear âyouâve thought of everything!â and â tons of surprises everywhere!â
This apartment is located on the second floor of a two-family and allows for super easy on-street parking right in front of the home. There is relaxing patio space located alongside the row house for sipping cocktails or coffee.
Be a geek in this Smart Home and control the Hue Lighting, limitless music, and house temperature with your personal assistant Alexa. There is also extremely high-speed wireless internet and a multi-port USB station for charging up devices. For your entertainment, we offer free Netflix and Apple TV. Feel free to log into own accounts too - HBO, Showtime, HULU, Disney+, or Amazon Prime for example. Note: We do not have cable.
The bedroom is private with a queen-sized âGreen Tea Memory Foam Comfort and Pressure Relieving Support Mattressâ for a great nightâs sleep. (Impressive huh?) Then thereâs Alexa to help you drift away with ocean waves, babbling brooks, oscillating fans or 8 hours of washing machine sounds. She can even read you a good night story. There is a desk in the bedroom for private workspace.
Relax in the spacious living room with a retro radio, spin some vinyls on the record player, watch TV ( We provide the popcorn!) and lay down the There are even games, puzzles, and toys for the kiddos (or kids at heart) in the antique desk or yellow locker. Enjoy a little something extra most places donât have âŠ. our foot massager! Ahhhhhhh. If using the sofa for sleeping, you are required to cover it with the provided linens in the yellow locker. Failure to do so could result in extra damage charges for this expensive sofa.
Travel lighter since we provide all towels, linens, and toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush / toothpaste, and bath gel. Need to do laundry? We provide detergent, fabric sheets, an iron, ironing board and more.
The kitchen is decked out with everything youâll need for preparing home cooked meals. If itâs not there, we want to know so we can add it! Take a peek through our cabinets and drawers - youâll find spices and herbs, pots ân pans, baking dishes, cutting boards, knives, and many other helpful items. We offer a single-serve coffee maker and provide the k-cups and beans (it brews both!).
Easy on-street parking! Youâll almost always find a spot in front of the house. Note - On Mondays (from 8am - 10am), they do street cleaning on the left so you have to park on the right side of 5th Street. On Tuesdays (from 8am - 10am), they clean the other side (the right) so you have to park on the left side of 5th Street.
Want to add a couple more guests? See if The Slanted House below is available and enjoy the entire house together. We also have The Tres House and House of Liebe one street over âŠ. they sleep 6 each.
If you do plan to stay with a pet, please mention it so we can discuss specifics. No cats, dogs only. Note the number of pets at the time of your inquiry or reservation (2 dog limit please.) We charge a Pet Resort Fee of $20 per stay.

Doug is an amazing film-maker, composer and sound guy; Vicky was a top podcaster on iTunes and blogger for 10 yrs focusing on "What Really Matters"; Aidan is our charming, handsome guy - a head pastry chef, supreme foodie, tech-geek, dog whisperer and all-around good human being loved by all; and Ellie is our adorable little princess - nick-named "Friday" for believing every day can be Friday when you're doing what you love. She loves music, her friends, art, pets and school. And then there is Granny (a.k.a. Linda) who is #5 to our Airbnb venture. Granny is retired and loves to help at the Airbnbs when she can. It's her FREE Thornton gym membership. She loves meeting guests and takes as much pride in hosting our homes as the rest of us.

We have been landlords for nearly 30 years and our first Airbnb (House of Liebe - love in German) was the first home we bought together in Covington. The other half of this historic two-family is our other Airbnb (The Tres House - tres for three floors and our third Airbnb). It has been so much fun and successful we opened up two others, just a street over (The Slanted House and Always Friday - of course named after Ellie). And yes, The Slanted House does lean a little to the west if you are looking at it from across the street. So yes - we love hosting on Airbnb and always beautify-ing (a.k.a. cleaning) our homes to share with others.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Mutter Gottes Kirche, or Mother of God Church, was founded by German immigrants to Covington in 1841. The surrounding neighborhoods of treelined streets and brick town homes is named for this beautiful landmark. Mutter Gottes neighborhood was one of the first residential expansions of Covington, and most structures there were built between 1860 and 1890. The area bound by Fourth Street on the north, Pike street on the south, the CSX railway to the west, and Madison Avenue to the east is listed as a National Registered Historic District. Noteworthy historic structures include the fire station on Sixth Street and the Albert B. Koett house on Russell Street. A garden at the intersection of Sixth and Craig contains the Neighborhood Mosaic sign.
