BIRDHOUSE COTTAGE - King Bed: Cozy cottage with Lake Views & Access

This cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway for two or use the queen sleeper sofa for additional guests. Fire up the grill and firepit before enjoying the sunset and dark night sky for stargazing. Explore the abundant wildlife, beautiful hill country, parks, dining, and wineries. Just minutes away from Willie Nelson's Luck Ranch!

This cottage is located very close to the water next to the main house on the property and across the street from Blissful Hill Wedding Venue. The R & R River house (main house), Cowboy Cabin, Jolene's Airstream and Cactus Camper are four other VRBO rentals available on the property which is perfect if you have a large family or large group. You can rent all five cabins and enjoy the whole property to yourselves.

The Birdhouse Cottage has a kitchenette, king size bed and queen size sleeper sofa. The large bathroom has a standing shower and two sinks. The cottage has a smart TV with all major streaming services available for you to log in to, YouTube TV is included! The kitchenette includes a microwave, countertop 2 burner electric stove, kettle, blender, mini refrigerator/freezer, and dual coffee brewer (k-cup & 12 cup pot). The lake is just steps away from the Cottage.

Things to do close to the property:
Pace Bend Park and El Gaucho Winery are less than 10 minutes away and the Hill Country Galleria is 15 minutes away filled with shopping and restaurants. You can also enjoy lakeside dining at Lighthouse Restaurant right on the water about 5 minutes from the property.

A great local getaway for some peace and quiet!

I booked this VRBO for my wife, who really needed some quiet time. She absolutely loved it! She was able to disconnect and just relax and enjoy the environment for a couple of days. She loved seeing the deer and hearing the owls at night. She thought the place was very cute and cozy as well as being clean, warm and welcoming. We will definitely book some more time here in the future!

Perfect getaway

It's layout is perfect for a nice getaway weekend or if your planning to spend time exploring the area. The area offers some of the best sunsets. We are from the north east and it's a lot colder so this is a great place to visit in late October and looking forward to making this a annual trip. The house was very clean and nicely decorated with everything you need to feel at home.

Adorable Cabin Near Lake Travis

We enjoyed a quiet weekend in this cabin, which is steps away from Lake Travis. The owners have thought of every detail, both with amenities and the vintage decor. We loved the hammock, swing, comfy (though small) full-zize bed and a well-equipped efficiency kitchen area, which offered a small fridge, microwave, dishes, paper goods, tea kettle and coffee pot. My husband was able to fish from the shoreline some, though the dock is not in the water since the water levels are really low. Overall a nice place to stay!

Cozy cottage on the river

We had a lovely weekend. The owners had everything ready for us and sent us easy directions before we arrived and left us a map of the property inside the cabin too with tips and recommendations. They had kayaks available on the pier and there are some great restaurants within a few miles drive. The lighthouse restaurant was so good we went twice. El Gaucho winery is also nearby and has some great wines. 5/5 stars. We would definitely stay there again.

Serene Hill Country River Cottage

Perfect spot to enjoy an authentic Austin hill country river experience. Super comfortable, creative and cute cottage. One of the best VRBO places I’ve stayed at. Easy drive from Austin. Spotless inside. Everything was ready for me, along with a sweet welcome sign and a few snacks. Nice patio to relax outside too!

Rick and Kristy go above and beyond to add those personal little touches and amenities you don’t find at every VRBO. They are super kind and pay attention to detail….every detail! Sweet Cottage by the Lake

We had a wonderful stay. Quiet, private access to lake, watched the sunset lounging on the dock, and walked the grounds in the mornings. The Birdhouse was bigger than expected. Very roomy, lots of natual light, many details in the room. We will return again.

Beautiful and great location.

I came in town for a wedding. This place was adorable and so conveniently close to everything. Great wineries, coffee shops and restaurants close by. The cottage is right on the lake with kayaks available to use. It’s a great little getaway. The cottage itself was clean and had an adorable little welcome sign. Even though there is not a kitchen there is everything you can possible want and need in the cottage. Very comfortable and I would stay there again!

Had a good time with friends. The cottage had everything you needed. Area was amazing and neighbors were friendly. Kayaks were awesome. Highly recommended. Host was amazing in working with us.
