Surplombant des champs verdoyants adjacents à la mission Carmel du XVIIIe siècle et une plage au-delà du studio «Tuckaway», les vues sont plus que captivantes. Derrière une porte de jardin, à travers votre entrée privée se trouve une retraite confortable et lumineuse. Ce studio écologique impeccable dispose d'un lit queen-size confortable avec des draps de luxe, de l'eau filtrée et est nettoyé avec des produits biologiques.

Les sols en caryer et les tapis orientaux taillés à la main récemment rénovés de Tuckaway ne sont que quelques-uns des exemples de notre souci du détail. Nouveaux comptoirs en granit dans la cuisine et la salle de bain avec tous les nouveaux luminaires et le sol en pierre dans la salle de bain.

Venez être enchanté dans les jardins paysagers avec banc assis couvert qui sont très privés. Les jardins comprennent une fontaine éclairée, plus de 1 200 pieds carrés de patio en briques incrustées personnalisées avec vue sur l'océan et la plage. Foyer sur mesure en brique surélevée en bois / gaz, salons en teck et un canapé pour profiter du soleil ou des soirées avec des plantes indigènes et un éclairage basse tension bien placé qui jette une lueur spéciale. What a special place to retreat for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Main points were location, solitude and privacy, lovely landscaping, quiet neighborhood and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back!

Lovely stay on beautiful property

Cozy and Relaxing! Such an awesome spot

Stayed for 4 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. Bill was super friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative. He made us feel very welcome! He showed us everything his place had to offer and the firepit was such an awesome touch- really enjoyed it.

Great Location, Great host

This property is a gem and in a great location. The view, large patio and grounds are amazing. I brought my two dogs, and the property great for dogs. The host was very responsive and wonderful, he even shipped me the Stanley cup I accidently left there. I would definitely recommend this place.

Carmel Getaway

Superior property - central to everything in Carmel & surroundings. High quality sheets, towels and Beautiful gardens & views out to the sea & beach. Wonderful property for us and our dogs. Great care & thought given to the property by the owner. We are in our 80s...and my balance isn't the best after foot surgery, so the entrance to the front door down a gradual slope with small steps and no hand rails was a little concerning for me. But, overall, the studio with fenced-in garden is surely the best you'll find in Carmel in VRBO. Thanks, Bill. From Mickie, Doug, Kirby & Toby.

Peaceful Getaway

Gorgeous property, kind host. Wanted to do a weekend getaway for some peace and quiet. That is exactly what we got. The property was immaculate and allowed for soulful rest. Bill, the host, is friendly and kind. Ours was a brief stay, but memorable. Highly recommend staying here if you are considering it.

Great stay in Beautiful Carmel!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Bill was a great host. The studio was very comfortable and the grounds were just beautiful! Although we were busy in Carmel, it was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy some cheese and wine.

Beautiful and cozy

This is our 4th time staying at one of Bill's properties (Atherton Cottage previously). This was our first time staying in this studio cottage. It was all absolutely stunning, especially the outside grounds. It's all so impressive, thoughtfully designed and so peaceful. Bill makes sure everything is set up in the house and extremely comfortable. Great communication ahead of time too! Thanks, Bill!

Perfect Carmel Getaway: Exceptional Hospitality and a Pristine Retreat

Our stay in Carmel was absolutely perfect, and we owe much of that to our wonderful host, Bill. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Bill had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment itself was an ideal retreat for a couple—cozy, beautifully furnished, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The attention to detail was impeccable. The grounds surrounding the apartment were pristine and provided a serene environment that made our time there even more special. We truly appreciated all of Bill’s helpful information about the area, which made our exploration of Carmel even more enjoyable. His hospitality went above and beyond our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Bill, for a truly wonderful stay!

Great place and a responsive, thoughtful host. Beautifully landscaped property. I recommend that future visitors explore Carmel beyond the main drag on Ocean Avenue. There are many hidden delights in this scenic seaside town.

We had a great time staying here! Bill was an excellent host. The outdoor area is incredible with great views of the ocean. Very quiet and private. Short drive to the beach or downtown (only about a mile away if you want to walk)

We had a wonderful weekend stay. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Bill was extremely accommodating and kind. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and we just wish the weather had been a little warmer so that we could have enjoyed the patio more!

Great stay, beautiful private patio

The studio is attached to the bottom level of the main house but is a private, independent space. While it is small, it has everything you need. It is perfect for a couple to get away. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor patio is beautiful and is private (not shared) to the rest of the property. Check in process is with Bill, the host, so not contactless (just FYI). Bill was a great host. My husband and I and our two small dogs enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and PERFECT

What a great stay. Beautiful place in Carmel. So quiet and relaxing. Really well done with all the comforts needed, especially a lot of outdoor patio space. Perfect location to enjoy downtown Carmel and the entire Monterey Peninsula. Host Bill was very informative and has the place really looking great. Thank you!

I created the 'Tuckaway'the Gem of Carmel, because I wanted to offer a Special, Private,Clean & Romantic place where people could come and Relax and truly feel like they were getting away from it all. The Hardwood floors are of hand scraped Hickory Pecan & Walnut with oriental rugs,all new cabinets & light fixtures as well as a stacked Mieie Washer & Dryer.There is an Ocean view Custom Inlaid Brick Patio area with Teak coushion Chaise Lounges, great two person Hammocks as well as a Brick Gas/Wood burning fire Pit! There is also a designated off street parking space for the 'Tuckaway' All of this and close to Downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea!

At the 'Tuckaway' you are within walking distance to the 'Carmel Mission Trail Park' that is a walking trail to downtown Carmel with plenty of Shops and Restaurants as well as the Beautiful sandy beachs of Carmel-By-The-Sea.It is only a few minutes drive to the Beautiful State Park known as 'Point Lobos'located right on the Pacific Ocean !There are numerous Wine tasting rooms as well as Vineyards within a short drive, and the Finest Golf Courses in the Country. Just 10 minutes away is the Well known Monterey Fishermans Wharf and Stienbeck Cannery Row with many gift shops & restaurants!
