Mink Creek Air BnB 3br Apartment - Alaska Living 20 minutes from Anchorage
The one good thing about Anchorage is you only have to drive 15 minutes to visit Alaska. Our property is in Alaska. We are not in a large city but in a rural area near Anchorage. It is a quite safe and private area 4 acre property with wonderful neighbors and numerous Alaskan adventures close by. We have friends and neighbors who are dog mushers and several of them have raced in the Iditarod dog sled race. There are seven public lakes within 5 miles of our home, dog mushing trails, fishing, hiking, and canoeing opportunities close by. We will gladly point you in the right direction for fishing opportunities or even lend you one of our canoes. We love Alaska and the spectacular views and opportunities it offers. We are within an hourâs drive to several glaciers, old gold mines, historic Alaska sites and numerous other adventures within minutes of our door. Itâs a short 20 minute drive from our house to downtown Anchorage and we are within 30 minutes of the Anchorage International Airport.
Lovely property and perfect for our stay. Comfortable beds, good location and nice kitchen with everything we needed. Very clean and the host was great!
This was the perfect spot for our family. Comfortable and has all the amenities. I canât say enough about what a gracious host Jeff was. He and his furry friends really made our stay the best experience. It felt like a home away from home centrally located between Anchorage and Wassilla where our family lives. My kids asked if when we can visit them again so we will be back for sure!
We had a great stay, the place wad clean and had everything we needed. Jeff was friendly and offered so much info of places to see and things to do. Check in was super easy and we even had some flight delays and showed up a bit later than planned but he kept in touch throughout our delay and everything went great! Thanks so much!
Excellent hosts! Our stay was perfect. The furnishings were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking and serving items. Jeff and Patti are very knowledgeable about Alaska. Weâre glad we chose this accommodation.
We traveled from Idaho to attend our granddaughter's graduation from nearby Chugiak High School. The accommodations had plenty of room, a full kitchen, and were well-located to events both north (Eklutna and Palmer) and south (Anchorage). The hosts were always available to answer questions or see to needs. A fine trip!
This property was easy to arrive at, host was helpful and fun to chat with. When we needed tools to take something apart Jeff helped us out with tools and humor. Property was nicely done and offered us a great place to go exploring from. Any future trips will include this rental everytime.
This was a wonderful wintertime stay. Spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. 20 minutes from Anchorage, but 5 minutes from Eagle River with every convenience you could need. The hosts were communicative and friendly.
Clean, well-thought out, everything you needed and more than I expected. Itâs the entire first floor of a beautiful, woodsy 2-story - itâs legit. 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath with w/d, full kitchen, room to sprawl. Convenient between Anchorage and Palmer.. we would stay again in a heartbeat.
Jeff and his wife were so friendly and welcoming. Our place was cozy and quiet after a long day of adventures each day. There is so much to see and do right in the area. If you had a question Jeff was happy and funny with an answer. Canât wait to visit again!
I am a retired I/T Professional with a personality & my wife Patty is a Physical Therapist. I've lived in Alaska for 39 years and love the outdoors and in particular being on the ocean. We have 3 grown kids and are blessed with 1 Grandson who visits us regularly. We travel frequently and my wife and kids are bilingual. (I am monolingual). My wife is someone everyone seems to love and I've been described as an acquired taste. Fortunately it usually takes a short time to acquire that taste. Jeff
It seems like everyone who visits comments of the view and the huge yard everyone is free to use. We have seen Moose, Bears, Lynx and assorted other wild life roaming in our yard. There are many places near by to hike and explore. We are glad to share our experiences with people and to also leave them alone if they wish to explore Alaska.
We've been known to fix people up with bicycles, canoes, binoculars and even fishing poles as well as advice on places to see and things to do. Alaska is our home and has been for decades.
