McAllister Park Family Ranch House

Welcome to your private San Antonio vacation home, centrally located near the airport and many major attractions. This 3 bed/2 bath Ranch Style House is recently updated, spacious and has all the amenities needed to make you and your family feel right at home. Your home away from home is nestled in Burning Tree Subdivision, a quiet family-oriented neighborhood adjacent to San Antonio’s largest recreational park.

McAllister Park boasts many hiking/biking trails, picnic tables, kids playscapes, a dog park, pavilions, and so much more. It is also home to San Antonio’s best Mountain Biking Trails.

Check-in will be done via an electronic lock. I will provide check-in code the day of arrival. I live in the area, so if you ever need anything at all, I can be available.

Home Amenities include: Self Check-in, 3 Spacious Bedrooms, 2 Full baths, Fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, large backyard & patio, Wifi, Smart TVs, Luxury Linens & towels, Coffee maker, Iron/Ironing Board, and pet friendly (see pet policy under House Rules).

Master Bedroom 1:
The Master Bedroom includes a Queen Size bed with Luxury Linens, a Smart TV, a private bathroom with tub/shower & dual vanity, dresser with drawers & closet that can all be used by the guests.

Bedroom 2:
This bedroom includes a Queen Size bed with Luxury Linens and closet that may be used by the guests.

Bedroom 3:
This bedroom includes a Queen size bed with Luxury Linens and closet that may be used by the guests.

We aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful family memories in our cozy home. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you can follow these house rules and confirm that is has been reviewed WITHIN 48 HOURS OF YOUR BOOKING. This is to ensure that if there is any reason the House Rules cannot be followed, you, our guest, will have the option of cancelling the booking penalty free. UTILITY POLICY (Long Term Guests):
-For guests staying 28 days or longer, Utility use will be monitored for abuse and any excess use will be billed back to the guest. Past bills for comparable months will be used for the purpose of making this determination. This policy includes the following utilities: Electric, Gas, Water, Internet. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please ask prior to booking.

- Check-in time 3 pm; Check-out time 11 am
- Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
- There shall not be smoking inside the home. Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains may be applied.
- PLEASE WASH YOUR DISHES after use. If dishes are not washed, extra cleaning fees may be applied.
- PARKING: parking is provided on the driveway side by side. Our driveway is suitable for sedans or smaller SUVs. If larger/longer cars or if more than one car, you can park parallel in front of the house.
- GARAGE: The Garage may be accessed for laundry use only and may not be used for parking by the guests. Personal items are stored in here, so please be respectful of our things. Please be aware that a security camera will be present in this area.
- The shed in the backyard is used to store personal items and is off limits to guests.
- Please acknowledge that from occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.
- Please do not rearrange our furniture.
- If you would like to host an event (i.e. wedding, graduation, not party), please speak with us about it first.
- If guests are found to have had a party without host permission which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of the disruptions alerting neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
- If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
- Lastly, because this is not a hotel, and is also my home, please be respectful of the property and keep it clean before you leave. (Respect our property and our things)

Relaxing in San Antonio

This was the perfect place for us. It was centrally located to all of the activities we had planned. We loved the quick access to McAlister park and procimity to airport.

Exactly what I needed!

Check in was super easy and Nick's response time was wonderful. The binder of info for the house was very helpful to reference. All light switches were labeled, which was much appreciated.We didn't stay long (or very much), but the beds were extremely comfortable. Had to dock a star because we couldn't get the TV to work, and we both had trouble with the shower faucets working properly. We felt very safe, and some personal touches were very welcome, like the white noise machine in the bedroom and the multiple outlets by the bed. Plenty of space for what we needed, and the access to the freezer was very helpful as I'm a breastfeeding mom and needed to take home my milk for my baby.One other small suggestion: we couldn't find any cookie sheets, which would have been helpful. Overall, a great place to stay and exactly what we needed for a busy weekend. I would definitely use this location again!

An amazing 2 month stay

The host, Nick, was very diligent if we needed something and we only needed something once and Nick had it to us in an hour. We had a great time and the house was as described and even better than the listing. The area was quiet and people were friendly. Neither Nick or the neighbors were "clingy" but were friendly when we saw them. This is a perfect property for short or long term status. Nick did call us about 3 weeks after we got there just to make sure everything was going well. I highly recommend this vacation home. We've already asked Nick that if the place was available for us during next year, we would love to stay at his place again. Thank you Nick for everything.

Quaint Home, Wonderful Stay

We loved staying here. We came to SA to spend time with family for Thanksgiving and were very happy staying in this home. The kitchen was very well supplied, the house was very clean and very comfortable. 10/10, would stay here again.

Nice House in Northern San Antonio

Cute, clean house in a quiet neighborhood with deer! The furniture is nice, the beds are comfortable (if you like firm mattresses like me), and the kitchen has everything you need. Tons of really good food very nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

A surprising stay

We chose this house b/c of the location close to some friends whom we needed to help during an illness, & also b/c of good reviews. Location was good & space was adequate but we had concerns b/c of the following. 1.All 3 bedrooms had such filthy carpet that we refused to put our bare or stocking feet down & go w/o shoes as it said to in the handbook. I took pictures the 1st day we came. Also found a pin in the carpet I almost stepped on 2. The microwave had buttons missing. When I stuck my hand under it above the stove to see if there was a light to turn on I got a handful of greasy gunk. It also would just come on when you closed the door after using it. 3. I needed to use the iron & there was a black crust on the bottom of it. I did not use. 4. It says on its vrbo site that it’s on a lake. It’s not. It says it’s a 3 minute walk to McAlester park. We found the entrance a mile away from the subdivision. 4. I found the kurig coffee maker water reservoir full of scarey gunk. I had to dump the water out & clean it b4 we could use it. We don’t expect a lot but we do expect a cleaner place.

Great Stay!

Check in was very easy with a coded front door. Neighborhood was safe and kept, friendly. Home was as described, clean, and had a nice "house book" by the front door. Beds were comfortable and like the smart TV for the little bit of downtime we had. Bathrooms were clean and accommodating. Would love to stay again if we return.

Comfortable and safe home

SAN ANTONIO SOLAR ECLIPSE

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was clean, quiet and in a great location. We appreciated the keyed entry and the laundry access. The patio area was much enjoyed. We even saw deer at night. A thrill for us city folk! Just a couple of things we would like to have seen iimproved - screens on the sliders and windows,TV instructions, and a shower head in the hall bath that stayed in place. The only real hazard was the gap between the front walk and the driveway. Overall it was a great stay and we would stay there again. Thank you.

Pros: The home was clean and cute, and had most of the basics we needed including some coffee and spices which was nice. Close to everything - HEB, restaurants, etc.. Cons: The backdoor was difficult to lock and we were only able to lock it the first night so we were not secure. The mattress in the main bedroom could use an upgrade.

Wish we were staying longer!

This place was a great value. It was appointed nicely, and felt very much like a home away from home. The living room seating was very comfortable, and the beds slept great. If available on a return trip, I will definitely try to book again!

Great stay in San Antonio

We were lucky enough to find this place. Overall, it was very clean and organized. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great, we liked the extra towels and pillows. The kitchen had a lot of basic things to use and we loved the way the house was decorated. It really had a warm and cozy feel to it and I would definitely stay here again or recommend to anyone looking for a three bedroom two bath house.

Clean, comfortable, recently remodeled, nice outdoor space. Family friendly surroundings. Close to grocery stores and restaurant. One suggestion would be a TV antenna to pick up local news and programs, a bit difficult to use TV.

We came to TX for my youngest daughter’s graduation from law school and needed a house to be able to spread out. It was a comfortable house and easy to “live in it.” It had all the basics we needed. Thank you for opening your home for our visit.

Temporary living

The house was perfect for my wife and me while house hunting in north San Antonio. Host was very good at communicating and the house was conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Great VRBO.
