A lovely beach cottage with bay views and easy walking access to the Atlantic beaches. The place was cozy and clean with expansive open views across reserve land to the bay.A bit tricky to find off the highway at night but we eventually got our bearings!
What you see is what you get...light and airy rental just steps from White Sands beach. Nicely appointed with comfortable furnishings, great living space and a well-equipped kitchen. Very close to LUNCH and minutes away from the lovely village of Amagansett. By far the nicest rental I have come across in this area...we will definitely be back!
My wife and I had a simply perfect anniversary getaway at Jane's lovely and elegant beach home. The property was immaculately clean, and looks even better than the listing photos. The house is well equipped with modern conveniences and good wifi, and the kitchen is supplied with everything needed for preparing great meals. Gorgeous sunsets and a 5 minute walk to a quiet, beautiful ocean beach make this property special. Jane is a great host....accomodating and very responsive to all requests.
Highly recommended and will be back!

We loved our family vacation at the White on White Beach house. All white and open. Impeccably decorated and comfortable for my whole family. I am a clean freak so I loved how clean and fresh the house was.
Days were spent on the ocean across the street. I loved the fact that we could take the wagon with the kids and stay all day at the ocean and play with other families. It was such a short walk we could come back for lunch, kids naps or a bathroom break. Loved using the outdoor shower on the beach days.
Sunsets off the back deck are phenomenal. My husband and I spent most nights
grilling on the bbg and enjoying ourselves. Lots of family fun. We had no stress, there is a white wooden gate on the steps off the main room plus a gate off the back deck the kids were safe so we could enjoy our stay. The homeowners clearly have children of their own and have thought of all the amenities and needs of parents! Lovely home we can"t wait to come again. We have already booked for next season.

Unsafe Home - Electrical and Pluming Issues
We arrived on and the house had been recently painted. Paint fumes were horrible, but had no other place to stay, so tried to air out. Had electrical issues had to have electrician and power company come. They let us know that the wiring in the house has a lot of issues and could be unsafe. This consumed 8 hours of our Friday night and early Saturday morning. The next day a pipe broke in the upstairs bathroom. Could have flooded the ground floor, but we turned off the water. Host refuses to give any compensation and blamed the broken pipe on us which is unreal. The pipe bust under the toilet. Don't ever book this place. Also Amtrak runs 8 feet from the back deck and shakes the house multiple times an hour.
We had a great time pulling our 4 year old over to the ocean beach in the red wagon, grilling and watching the beautiful sunsets and watching the birds fly overhead. wonderful spot!
My friend and her daughter and my son and I had a lovely 3-day stay at this clean, cheerful house in a great location. The house was ideally situated a few blocks from pristine beach and a short car drive from a nature sanctuary. It was easy to get to, easy to get into, and very comfortable. Because we were early in the season, things that other guests might leave behind weren't there (like olive oil, spices, etc.), so stop by the nearby grocery on the way if you are planning on cooking.
I loved my stay here so much. Beautiful home, best location, and amazing views every evening. The host was very nice and accommodating and I canât recommend this spot enough!
It is a nice house, but could use some sprucing up inside. The highway on which the house is located turned out to be much busier and noisier than we expected, and made it challenging to turn in and out of the driveway.
Great house & location w/ comfortable stay for family!!
We stayed here for a 4-day weekend to attend a wedding in Montauk at nearby Gurneys resort. The house is just off Montauk highway, but in a very quite/secluded stretch, so it was quiet. Itâs a short (4-5 min) car ride from Gurneys and taking Ubers there and back were very cheap ($10). The house was clean and beds were very comfortable (including the two single bed & sofa bed). The porch is nice to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings, and there is even a picnic table out near the front (but we never used it as it was closer to Montauk Highway and we had kids with us who we didnât want wandering near there).
Our host (Jane) was available 24/7 to answer all our questions including one time late at night when weâd accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and she was able to walk us through getting back in. She was also super-flexible with early checkin and late checkout, which just added an extra level of comfort and peace of mind through our arrival & departure.
The only downer was that the LIRR runs occasionally F past the back of house, so it felt a bit odd enjoying a glass of wine on the porch while a train zipped by. At night the trains were a surprisingly quiet indoors that none of us were bothered by it.
Overall, I would definitely come back here for future Montauk weekends. Thanks Jane!!
We absolutely loved the house. Every detail is so thoughtfully put together. The breeze, natural light, etc. - amazing! We are DEFINITELY returning! Thanks so much!
It was our third time staying in this house and we loved it, once again! It is comfortable, full of light and really cozy!
We love the simple, white decoration, although some of the fabrics need to be replaced.
Jane was always an amazing host, answering all our questions super fast and efficiently!
We will definitively come back!
The house is lovely. It's small but perfect for a family getaway. Very close to the beach.
Jane was very accommodating. Another review mentioned the train that goes by the house, that was a plus for us, we stayed over Christmas and pretended it was the Polar Express. We would absolutely stay at this house again.
Everything we needed for a cozy Thanksgiving was provided. Beautiful setting with many amenities. Prior reviews mentioned the train which was a source of entertainment. But our sleep was disrupted by the noise of traffic from Hwy 27 which borders the South side of the home where bedrooms are situated. It was a lovely stay, well stocked so that we were able to cook our own Thanksgiving meal.
Picture perfect house you won't want to leave ... very beautiful and charming inside and out. Maybe a little bit smaller than it seems in these wide-angle photos but not in a bad way; I actually think it's cozier and more quaint than it appears.
One thing of note: The house is right on Montauk Highway and backs up to the railroad tracks. We found the location to be great for exploring all the different areas of Montauk / Eastern Long Island by car, and the views are amazing, but pedestrian access to towns / attractions is limited and there is ambient noise (again, not a bad thing, and New Yorkers probably may not even notice, let alone be bothered by this, but if you're coming from a very quiet place it's something to consider).
Property was beautiful! We rented the house while out in MTK for my daughters wedding. We had 10 brides people getting ready there and photos which turned out perfectly. Really a great house!
This is the second year we have stayed in this lovely cottage. It is beautifully appointed, and functional. We love that it is a five minute walk to the beach and sitting out and watching the sunset on the deck. The only thing to note is that the railroad tracks are right behind the house, so the train goes through a number of times a day in season. We weren't bothered by it, but it was noted by our guests. For us, though: perfection!
We built the house this cottage by the beach in 1998. Love the getting up early and checking out the ocean surf a short walk away. Or just lying on the couch and overlooking the view of Napeague Harbor. The train rolls by behind the house and is exciting to see.
