3000 sq ft home - Private 25 acres on a river - 45 min from Milwaukee or Madison
The Miller House is on 25 acres on a river. There are walking trails, fishing and kayaking or just relax with an awesome view of the Honey Creek river. There is a real Train Caboose and a vintage passenger station from the Milwaukee Electric Railroad. The property is 2 miles from downtown Burlington, 15 miles from Lake Geneva, 35 miles from Milwaukee, and 1.5 hours from Chicago. This is very private. No other houses in view. This is a great place to have a retreat and reconnect.
It was our first time coming to Wisconsin. My newly married son and his wife live in Burlington. I saw this home and it had enough beds for my teenagers and was close to Burlington. The pictures on this listing donât do the property justice. Itâs absolutely beautiful inside and out. The hosts were so friendly and quick to respond when I had questions. 100% recommend this home! We loved our stay.
We stayed here after a concert at Alpine Valley. Although our stay was short everyone loved the house and were thinking of reasons to come back for a longer stay.
The convenient location and ability to accommodate multiple family members and friends worked so well. The 50th anniversary party venue was nearby and our family/ friends were able to stay with plenty of room. We visited after the party for some more sharing and caring.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The home is very big and the photos are representative. The ground are expansive and the views of the river from the living room were amazing.
Beautiful House in a Secluded Setting On Honey Creek
I was in town for seven days to visit family and attend a wedding. I was the only one staying at the Miller House but l had LOTS of family members that came to visit over the course of that week. To a person, everyone said the house was beautiful, and marveled at the view of Honey Creek from the open kitchen and living room. There is plenty of water frontage to fish, and lots of room to walk around and explore the property. I saw deer on the lawn during my first day and saw herons and egrets and ducks and muskrats in and around Honey Creek every day. Leaving the property in the morning or coming back in the afternoon, I commonly saw deer, turkeys, and sandhill cranes in fields near the road. This is a great place to come to watch nature in the seclusion of a wooded property. There is train traffic near the house, but that is something that I quickly became accustomed to. Jennifer Miller is a very attentive host, responding to any questions I had within minutes of me asking them. I look forward to staying here again.
The property was very clean and spacious. Our group of 11 women were very comfortable and in awe of the views of the Honey Creek. A very peaceful experience for our spiritual retreat! The owner was very accommodating and always responded quickly to questions before and during our stay.
The home was perfect for our extended family of 9 (7 adults and 2 kids.) Being in the river was amazing as we were able to put our kayaks in every day. Jennifer was a wonderful host and we loved visiting her art gallery and studio across the river. We had plenty of space to cook and play games and hang out together. We would definitely come back.
The Miller House was a great place for our family vacation! We played ball on the large lawn, paddled and fished the lazy river. We were close enough to visit the Harley Davidson Museum, House on the Rock, the Milwaukee Zoo, Grand Geneva Golf Course, the Racine County Fair and Brownâs Lake. Weâd return home to gather in the large dining room for dessert and a movie before bed. Thank you Will, Jen and Mark for a great summer vacation!
Loved the yard & riverview. Egrets. Great white heron. Sat outside on lawnchairs & ate lunch. Loved the art work. Great kitchen for prep and eating. Well stocked with lovely dishware & utensils. Comfy beds. Lots of warm blankets. Plenty of comfy seating. There is a train track right next to the property behind trees. We were quite startled when the 1st train rumbled by. Several trains went by thruout day & night. We did get used to it. We had a wonderful stay! Driveway was fun!
We stayed in The Miller House right after one of our friendâs weddings â it was the perfect place to end our night; the house was quiet and peaceful. Jennifer made our stay very pleasant. She was very easy to reach and available when we had questions, through text or a quick phone call. She was flexible with the use of space and very willing to work out a deal since we had less than the amount of people that fill her space; she was very accommodating to our group. Jennifer also has an art studio about 2 mins away from the Miller House where she does wine and art and could take on a group, which could be perfect for a bachelorette party or a fun even to do on a get-away. I would definitely stay at the Miller House again and will recommend to my family and friends.
The house and property was great. Beautiful inside and out! Was nice walking outside with a coffee.
Better than the land, Jennifer was awesome to deal with and answered all my questions and then some.
Thank you- would love to visit this area again.
