Can't call this a Cottage, NO internet
The property is more like a really nice mobile home or free standing hotel. If I wanted this i would have gone to a hotel. There is no living room and it is in a Christian community of other properties, so more like a mobile home park. That said it is very clean and well appointed with modern fixtures. Bed had an annoying plastic mattress pad. However the biggest problem is that this is not just spotting internet. It doesn't work and it is completely unacceptable to pay money for a place with internet and not have it. To make matters worse the area has very spotting cell service, we had none so couldn't even contact hosts about the internet. Also, it is clear from other reviews that the hosts know that the internet doesn't work but still claim it.
Very cute cottage located within a short distance from the beautiful beaches of Warren Dunes State Park. Our cottage was across the street from a playground, which pleased our 4 and 5 year old granddaughters! Also, the resident deer and turkeys kept their interest. Great screened in porch for dinning and playing games. Very clean. Modem bathrooms with walk in showers.
Nice minimalist cottage with 1/2 mile hike to the lake.
The cottage and grounds were very nice if minimalistic. As other reviewers have mentioned: donât count on internet. The listing mentioned a dishwasher and there is none. The cottage itself has no casual seating in the common area. If you plan on spending time outside or at the beach itâs perfect. Everything was super clean and nice. The recent rains have caused the path to the beach to be a little more rigorous. Definitely not for someone with knee or hip issues. Not a problem for us though. Kids and family loved our stay. Will definitely come back!
Great stay here! Tower Hill location was scenic, well-maintained camp-like setting, with a very short walk to the sandy beaches of Warren Dunes. Cottage was modern and remarkably comfortable and efficient . . . two sizable bathrooms and a workable kitchen . . . which makes life that much easier with teenagers in-tow. Everybody very friendly, including surrounding neighborhood. Tracy was friendly, informative, professional with a likeable personality! Highly recommend!
I think the Summary for this property does not do a good job of reflecting the experience. This cottage is part of the Tower Hill Camp & Retreat Center. It is a large piece of property with many cabins designed to take a break from the world and disconnect. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to hike through and a camp to explore. The building DOES NOT have Wireless internet. There is wireless internet in another building on the property which you will have poor to no access to, depending on the weather. If you are planning to have a place to work online, or snuggle up and watch a movie at the end of the day, this property is not for you. If you're looking for an escape from the world, plenty of time to read sitting on the porch, or commune with other groups in the shared spaces, you could not find anywhere better.
The cottage was clean, airy, and everything was really well set up (great coffee maker, beds made and ready to go, etc) - walking distance to Warren Dunes park. Just a really nice place to stay.
Place was just as described. Quiet, close to dunes, wonderful play set across from cottage, and hiking path on property was well marked and cleared for an easy walk or jog in the woods.
The cottage is very clean and functional. Two big bedrooms and two big bathrooms. Nice screened in porch. Fire pits with wood provided. Walk to the beach and Warren Dunes State Park. We enjoyed our stay!
We had a great time. The cabin and location was good and our neighbors for the weekend were awesome.
It was a great first experience for my wife and being this was there first time being out of state. I also enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.
