If you're looking for a getaway in the snow with direct access to the mountains for snowmobiling, this is it! Great place to come and go from. Highly recommend and will likely return here in the years to come!
The cabin lived up to all expectations. I appreciated the Christmas decorations since we were celebrating the season. I'd like to go back again in the summer.
Great cabin! Lots of stuff to do there from board games, toys for the little kids, hot tub. Wonderful location to Yellowstone and lots of places to swim near by.
Perfect location for our family trip! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! 4 star for cleanliness only due to the scraps of what looked like roofing leftovers around the cabin that could be picked up.
This cabin was wonderful! Was decorated for Christmas and had so many special touches! Has tons of amenities. Everything you could want. Great for children with lots of toys. The hot tub was awesome! Plenty of room for all my family. Lots of snow that the children loved. This wonderful trip has been on my bucket list and definitely fulfilled it! Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us!
We loved our stay here!
Perfect amount of room for our family, especially with the outside space.
Super clean upon check in.
The only thing suggested is a bigger fridge. We stay in vacation rentals so we can cook as a family and the fridge/freezer was a little to small to accommodate our food supply.
If you stay here watch for a very curious, somewhat shy fox. We named him Bruce. Tell him we say hello!
Our family of 12 stayed in this cabin during our trip to Yellowstone. The town of Island Park is remote and very peaceful. Cabin was very clean and all beds were very comfortable. The hot tub there was one of our favorite features, which was nice and relaxing during the cool summer nights. The cabin had everything we needed. The property manager, Jess, was very helpful. Clear instructions for our check in and check out. She was also quick to answer any questions we had during our time there. Had a wonderful stay and we will be coming back. Thanks again to Jess and the owner of the property for helping make our vacation a good one!
Overall stay in Island Park was a good one. Cabin is more cosy than pictures indicate but our 2 family group of 12 still fit well and enjoyed our stay. Given the proximity of neighbors and times of quiet hours some warning of the roughness and length of the unpaved roads, including deep unevenness, would have been appreciated. Had we been driving a car it would have bottomed out and possibly had major damage.
We loved staying in the cabin. It was wonderful for our family of 6 adults and 7 children. The kids absolutely enjoyed the bunk beds, little play area, and air hockey table. The kitchen table was perfect for our meals and game playing. We especially enjoyed having a T.V. in each bedroom. And the hot tub was wonderful. It would have been nice to have a bathroom upstairs. But it worked out just fine. We loved the updates, and beautiful decor! And we were just a half hour away from West Yellowstone. Thank you so much for an incredible stay!
Multiple cameras with audio mic on property that were never disclosed. Property was not clean as we found found wrappers on furniture. The grill was nasty and firepit not cleaned. The tried to add a new rental policy after the cancellation period prohibiting camp fires and enforcement of a 9pm curfew. They said the neighbors watch the property and have their number which is creepy. They refused to cancel and refund us. They were contacted about cameras and just provided a canned response that they will look into but never did. The property had cinder blocks for stairs and part of the house was under construction with exposed plywood l. The deck was a tripping hazard and they never fixed it after being notified.
After our busy days, it was really nice to come home to the rustic cabin in the woods. Plenty of towels, washcloths, etc., and we were all very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
If it wasn't for the fun at Yellowstone, the review woukd be worse..
We came at a very unsure time, the park had just flooded and was shut down. We were ready to cancel, but decided to push through, luckily the park opened up
Cons: We arrived to the property and overall it was dirty. There was food left under the kitchen table. In one of the bedrooms the upper kids bunk bed was broken and was taped up leaving it unusable. One of the bedrooms had no closet or circulating air and felt like a sauna despite us leaving the windows open and using a floor fan. Then to top it off the garbage cans outside were almost full from the previous guests. It got to the point we had full garbage bags lined up in the kitchen and were told it must be because of the holiday it wasn't taken away. Full disclosure the garbage was taken away on our last day. When I was trying to contact the manager (internet connectivity is a big issue out there) I was asked if I had taped up the bunk bed and was told the cleaning lady would have noticed it even though I reminded her clearly not since food was left on the kitchen floor. For the money charged it was unacceptable.
Pro: the beauty of yellowstone made up for all these aggrevations.
We enjoyed our stay. House was smaller than anticipated. Property manager Jess was responsive to questions about location of trailer parking and left clear instructions for our stay. Beds were comfortable. Exterior of cabin needed maintenance to porches and general cleanup. Overall a great weekend.
Good place, but in need of repairs!! Bring your raincoat!
This place is in need of some repair! The upstairs floor underneath the air hockey was completely wet with a bowl on the floor, assuming the roof was leaking. Not ideal if anyone wants to play air hockey, unless they want their socks wet.
My friends woke up in the middle of the night to the roof in the upstairs bedroom leaking. It leaked onto the bed where they were sleeping and some of their belongings. Not a good night as they were soaked and the Dripping noise kept them up, even after they had moved to sleep downstairs. The property manager was on it right away in the morning when I messaged her about the situation.
I contacted vrbo to try and get a partial refund. They said they would contact the owners but I haven't heard from them. Make sure the roof has been fixed, otherwise it will be a wet stay!
