We enjoyed our stay at this property ideally situated in Ephraim a short walk to the public beach or to town. The property was well maintained and we appreciated that we could bring our small dog along for the vacation.
The cabin was very cute and very very clean! It was a perfect fit for my husband, myself and our little puppy. The location was extremely convenient close to restaurants shopping on the beach.
The Summer House met all of our expectations. It is situated perfectly to allow visitors the chance to enjoy all that Door County has to offer. The property was well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is the amount of motor noise in the bedroom from something running in the crawlspace. I am a light sleeper and didnt get much sleep that weekend due to this noise.
We were only in Door County for two nights so location was pretty important. Nestled between Fish Creek and Sister Bay this is a perfect place. We did dinners in Sister Bay, spent some time in Peninsula state park which is minutes away, enjoyed some vineyards etc. Everything with the property was great!
Great location and beautiful property! We enjoyed having a grill and sitting outside with beautiful flowers and trees to look at. Itâs walking distance to the beach and Marina, close to peninsula state park and it was nice to be able to bring our pup. Thank you!
This little cottage couldnât have been better. Tucked away on the Main Street, it was still quiet and had an awesome view. It was perfect for me and my pet, and it would have been fine for a couple, too. Everything was clean and in good condition.
My daughter and I stayed here for three nights in June 2023 and loved it. The cottage was clean and even though it's not very big, it had all the amenities we needed. The fold out bed in the living room was comfortable for my daughter and the bed in the bedroom was comfortable for me. The location can't be beat as it's only a short walk to the places like Wilson's and the Chef's Hat. For a cozy and comfortable stay close to everything in Ephraim, I highly recommend the Summer Cottage.
Cute little cabin, clean, and nice location. As described.
Caution: what starts out as an affordable day rate escalates quickly with plenty of add on fees for cleaning, pets, etc etc. etc.
Clean, modern, well appointed, functional, efficient, pet friendly, in town and dangerously close to the Prince of Pierogi.Walk to all the Ephriam has to offer. View of the harbor. As advertised and pictured. Great communications from property. No worries, no problems.
The cottage is done well, clean, and superb location! Communication with the management company was always so quick. It is a lot smaller than I imagined-my first house was 800 sq ft and this felt like half that size! The bed and pillows were ok-could be firmer for my liking but could be great for others. The pullout coach is not comfortable so I wouldnât have that as a sleeping option. I have yet to stay in place that has blackout shades but that would completely enhance the stay! Overall knowing what I know now, weâd still stay again-it was clean and so cute inside and again location is superb!
Place was lovely and so clean - we had an excellent time being cozy! It is on a very busy road, though - which is understandable as there's only like one road through Door County. So it's very convenient, but just not great for having a dog or taking walks. Also wished they advertised that the check-in time isn't until 4pm. Otherwise, great stay.
Very quaint cottage within walking distance to all Ephraim has to offer. It is tiny so four is absolutely the max but we made it work and really enjoyed the property and surrounding area. I imagine during the summer the little shopping area adjacent to the property might cause some noise or additional foot traffic, but at the end of October it wasnât a bother at all!
Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Surprisingly quiet for it's location, just a few blocks walk to Ephraim. Great central location to get too all upper Door Peninsula sites.
However the owner's use of Superhog for guest verification is a huge turn-off. They are not properly introduced, so appear as scammers, demanding photos of personal ID, utility bills, etc and threatening you can't check in without providing them, technical issues opening the jpg we finally agreed to send...totally unprofessional. This created distrust needlessly.
The owners were great though. There was a malfunction of the dehumidifier and they ran right over to fix it.
We loved the location of this cabin - that was definitely the main draw of it for us! During our stay, we had two adults, two small kids, and one small dog, and that is the absolute max I would suggest for the space. We had minimal space to move around. It definitely isnât the type of place that has everything you need - very minimal towels, we ran out of toilet paper before we left, minimal toiletries, no extra pillows for the pull out couch, and we had to search for extra sheets for the pull out. We also woke up on the first night to a very loud noise coming from the closet (water heater??) - it was only the first night and it didnât come back, but something to be aware of. We also had a maintenance issue the first day we were there (issue that occurred before our arrival) - so it was a nuisance to have to deal with that. Overall though, it was a very clean place and we loved the location. We also loved the ease of the access code to unlock the door.
