This house was clean, extremely well stocked in the kitchen and the owners were great to work with. Everything was as described and the pictures are acurate. Lewis was great to communicate with and quickly replied when I had some questions prior to arrival. Wonderful for a family or group visiting the area.
This property is located in a quiet, charming neighborhood. This home was perfect for our family, a garage my husband could fit our truck in, a kitchen that has every utensil and extra you would need, and three spacious, comfy bedrooms. The linens were well stocked with plenty of towels and blankets. We are so glad we found this property and will always check if itâs available when returning to Albuquerque. The hosts were communicative and quite nice. Everything was in working order. Overall, such a comfortable home. We loved it!
This was by far the best home I have stayed in using VRBO. Everything was labeled and the hosts were amazing and communication was easy. It would me a big mistake not to stay here.
Everything went very well with this rental. The house was spacious, clean and it was well stocked. They have instructions on everything making it easy to navigate. The owners were very responsive and the location was perfect for our needs.
We were really impressed with everything in regards to this property. The owners were provided very detailed instructions and information and were very accessible for questions. I have never stayed at a rental home (and I have stayed at a lot) that was so well stocked. They even supplied some half and half and coffee ! So needed our first morning after a late drive to arrive. I would highly recommend this beautiful home.
We really enjoyed the neighborhood, lots of restaurants, grocery stores and things to do do, depending on what you loke to do. The Sandia Mountains are literally in your back yard. My daughter and I hiked two out of our three days there, beautifully scenery, The Embudio Trail is Super beautiful and good exercise. Lewis our host was very accomodating. The house has plenty of instructions to help you navigate it.The beds are very comfortable and the house has a very relaxing atmosphere. The location is good for getting where you need to go. If your in Albuquerque, try this wonderful home out!
My family owned a house in this neighborhood from 1981 to 2023. I love my run route around the Academy and riding up the bike path to the Michael Emory Open Space. 15 minute drive to downtown and the Bosque trails. Very clean and exceptioally stocked. Walking distance to fabulous food and shops. Our hosts were communicative an are invested in the neighborhood. This is one of our favorite VRBO stays.
One of the best set up and maintained properties we have ever stayed at. Neat house, immaculately clean, great, safe location. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to shops and stores.
All switches and controls are labeled, all home necessities are provided. Host was quick to respond and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone going to Albuquerque.
Our stay at the katchina house was wonderful. Our hosts thought of everything. We had all the amenities you could think of, spices and oils in the kitchen, extra sheets, pillows and blankets, protective coverings for furniture for our dogs. Also great instructions in the house. Very comfortable and clean. Excellent location. Great views of the Sandias. We will definitely book again !
I've stayed a few times at the House of Kachinas and it's always clean and quiet! The neighborhood is great to take walks in, near some nice restaurants and easy to reach for groceries.
My family came to Albuquerque to experience the Balloon Fiesta and had a great time. The place was in a quiet neighborhood and very relaxing. We were only a 5 minute drive to the Hoffmantown Church park and ride for the Balloon Fiesta. Which I would highly recommend rather than driving to the Balloon Park. All the things we wanted to experience were within 15 minute drives. The house was clean and very well supplied with household supplies like dish soap, garbage bags, sponges, and dishwasher soap. There was also a basic cooking supplies like salt, spices, and oil. Kitchen was also supplied with a coffee maker, microwave, oven, toaster and plenty of pans/dishes that made cooking easy there. There is also a selection of stores near by.
Overall we had a great time in visiting Albuquerque and a large part of it was having a relaxing place to go to each night.
Very spacious and clean accommodations. Bedrooms are very far apart. (Could be a + or a -) The kitchens and bathrooms were very well-appointed and had plenty of supplies. Very quiet neighborhood. Garage with remote opener was much appreciated. Lewis, the owner, was very nice and helpful. The only negative for us was the lack of space to relax outside.
Our stay was lovely. We enjoyed time together in the comfy living room, cooking in the well appointed kitchen and sleeping in the cozy beds. There were tons of towels, sheets, blankets and pillows. Thanks for being a thoughtful host! â€ïž
Rare gem. The house is clean, convenient location and well stocked for dining, relaxing and working. All the appliances were in wonderful shape and the house has plenty of room. It is close to shopping, dining and nearby attractions. The hosts were helpful and responsive. We have stayed at many VRBO and other rentals but this place ranks at the top.
We are a family of three. Janelle, a business consultant, is author of the best-selling book, A Complaint is a Gift. So we welcome all of your feedback, and especially your complaints, about this property. Jeff hosts the "New Thinking Allowed" channel on YouTube. Lewis has his masters degree in Chinese linguistics. We moved to Albuquerque in 2018. Previously, we lived in Las Vegas, NV, and also in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We chose this property because of the location and open space feeling. The living room is very large for a house its size. You are very close to all sorts of convenient shopping (Walmart, Smiths, Whole Foods, Starbucks, Keva Juice, UPS Store, and much more). Also, the Albuquerque Academy -- with lovely running trails -- is just a few blocks away. It is a relatively short drive drive to Old Town or to the Balloon Fiesta Park or the University of New Mexico. The Bear Canyon neighborhood is peaceful, cheerful, safe -- and is generally regarded as one of the nicest in Albuquerque.
