Finally⊠an owner who put some attention into updating their unit in Mtn Lodge. Funky and bright den/kitchen area with comfortable seating and a small porch with a great view of Ballhooter lift. The unit is only 2 doors down from the ski in/ski out exit on the first floor. Clean and well-equipped. Bedroom is small, as are all in Mtn Lodge, but has a nice mattress and double closets. Owners answered questions immediately. The only disappointment was the surly, front desk attendants. We'll stay here again
The convenience of this location was phenomenal. Being able to get the kids dressed and send them out to wait for us where we could see the from the windows was fantastic. We really enjoyed the location and would recommend it to others. Place could use a good cleaning, but other than that it was great. Had everything we needed for our family ski trip.
The location of this condo is perfect. It is right next to Ballhooter lift and quick walk out the door to slopes from Mountain Lodge. It was the easiest located slopeside condo I have rented. The condo was warm and cozy. I could stay inside and watch the skiers and snowboarders. Lots of hot water to take a shower or bath after a day of skiing. It also has a very comfortable bed. It was more quiet than I expected being so close to the door.
This is a really good place to ski-in and ski-out. It is just a few steps from the exit door to Hootenanny and has a balcony with a front row view of Ballhooter. Most accommodations were nice, except for these minor issues:
- Refrigerator collected water on the bottom shelf
- Dirty bowl in the cupboard
- No towels were available until day 2
- Living room TV is antiquated (needs updating)
My three boys and I were looking to get away for a four day ski trip that we could drive to during COVID times. We have been to Snowshoe before and were familiar with the layout and where to stay. This was a fantastic location and the owners are obviously thoughtful through ski racks on the wall, a drain pan and plenty of hooks for jackets. There is also a fun and cool ski theme that is found in the decor, even down to cabinet handles. You can look out our window and see the Ballhooter lift steps away. We brought a couple of extra fold up cots for two of my sons and everyone slept without having to share a bed. We listened to others during our stay and the entire building seems to run hot, so this first floor location is best. We just cracked the window slightly and we were perfect. We stopped at WalMart in Lewisburg to provision, but Wildcat grocery is a short walk away if you forgot anything. The Split Rock pools is at the top of the parking lot. The parking lot here fills fast and we were mindful of when to leave to make sure we had a space when we came back. (donât leave during check in around 5 pm!) We have stayed in the Village as well as Top of the World before, and hands down this is the best spot for the money on the Mountain.
I when in October and the view was amazing, i really liked the room with the design and i like how it makes you feel just a little bit more closer to snowshoe and the area, this room is very close to the village and the ball hooter ski lift, I highly recommend this room to anyone that is looking to stay at snowshoe.
The proximity to the door to the lifts is a big plus for the room. It's just a couple dozen yards away so you don't have to rent a locker or hike too far with your gear. My only complaints are that 1.) the back door (directly adjacent to the lifts) is intentionally sealed shut, and 2.) the parking lot is off limits until your room is ready to check in. Would stay there again.
