It was not a easy property to find. It smelled like vomit when we went into the room. The bed was comfortable, and for being near a bar it was fairly quite.
It would be great if you just needed a place to sleep. The faucet spayed and the common bathroom was not kept. I refused to use anything but the toilet which only flushed half the time. You could hear everyone until the party was over.
I'm a single woman over 65 and I felt safe on this property. Bed was comfortable and the shared bath not a problem for me. There is no on site parking. It's either the street or as I found, a lot up the block. There were no instructions available for accessing the internet and impossible to get a response to my email, and the TV/Netflix didn't work. But then, that may have been operator error. That being said, I would stay here again. It fit my needs for a very short stay.
The bed, in-room sink and shelves were clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was an AC unit in the window that has a fan, too. Good cable and tv. The bathroom had a modern rainfall shower (square head over you), nice sink, and toilet. All were clean. Older bathroom. Owner had provided soap and shampoo. Towels were nice.
The carpet was a bit dirty, and that was disheartening. The owner is going to replace it with vinyl flooring in gray. This is an old boarding house. Th shower and toilet are across a small landing, New York style. There is a vent in the bottom of everyoneâs doors, so I could hear other peopleâs TV.
I arrived late at night. I was not happy on arriving, and there was a storm. The pub was closed, so the street felt dark and isolated. But the bed was comfortable and clean. I slept well. The rooms are up a stairway from the street, with about 5 room doors facing each other.
Cozy room, shared bathroom right across the hall. Had a beer and pizza in the restaurant below, met the property owner, very friendly. Clean room, comfy bed, good amenities. Great for an overnight.
The location was quite convenient for the events we attended. As advertised, the bathroom and shower are shared, which was a bit inconvenient at times. We basically just needed a place to crash overnight, so it worked fine for that.
I purchased this place in 2019 and turned it into a tap house serving the best craft beer in SW Montana. Just so happens there are 4 rooms upstairs for guests to stay in. I think its a perfect place to stay because you can access the entire downtown area by foot and then come back for a great beer or glass of wine before walking upstairs for bed.
