A cozy A-Frame cabin near Lynx Lake, set on an acre in the Prescott National Forest. The cabin is off the grid, and we operate on a water tank & solar. Lynx Creek runs through the property and its 1/8 of a mile back in the forest, yet only 15 minutes from downtown Prescott. Wonderful for those who love the outdoors and a quiet rustic getaway... yet close to town if you want more. There are only four cabins in the vicinity. They sit on 20 acres of Ponderosa Pine, Oak, Juniper and Arizona Aspen that are surrounded by the Prescott National Forest.
This was a pure slice of Heaven. The property feels remote, but so close to everything. It was very clean, rustic and exactly as advertised. The amenities were spot on and my wife and our little dog enjoyed it so much. Will definitely be going back again and again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Really enjoyed our stay. Definitely off the beaten path. Perfect break from the heat, hustle and bustle back home. Cabin had all that we needed for our stay and more. We really only needed to supply our own wood and food/drink. The absence of mosquitos was very pleasant. Would stay longer if we could.
We loved it - very private and cozy. Perfect escape. Everything needed for overnight adventure in the woods. We arrived after dark so it was challenging finding it ⊠Also note - there is a seperate 35 non refundable pet fee not disclosed on the listing which is paid direct to host outside of the booking app. I donât mind paying the fee for my service dog, but it should be included in the listing under âpet friendlyâ rather than in an email after booking is confirmed.
i never made it to this rental. inclement weather kept me from the remote location. the host was negligent in responding. i never stayed there. the retreat looked so inviting. i never heard back from her ... the experience left an unpleasant place in my heart. i wanted understanding and compass. sometimes unforeseen things happen
My husband and I loved our little overnight getaway here. It was so cozy, quiet and had everything we needed. The host was very easy to reach and always quick to respond.
Cool little property had everything we needed for a short stay. Kids loved watching the birds and squirrels at feeders. Nice place to unplug and unwind.
We loved the cabin. As an architect i really loved this little gem. Its perfectly designed and feels larger that it is. We loved being off grid wirh just the sound of the wind, birds and occasional coyote. Che k in is very easy and host is easy to communicate with. Its a great place to unwind. We will definitely come back again.
This was the perfect get away for our Anniversary! Off the grid so we can be in peace and quiet and close enough to the business district to go have some fun
Beautiful property, fully surrounded by the woods with other cabins a decent distance away for a safer feeling. Perfect place for if you have dogs and the surrounding area is very open. The host, Sona was very friendly and communicated everything regarding the trip perfectly. Would love to visit again in the future :)
To say our stay at the lovely "Rustic Retreat" was everything we'd hoped it would be, is an extreme understatement!Everything was perfect....and so much better than the pictures portrayed . We spent most of our time outdoors...nestled among the ponderosa pines....soaking in the sun and the crisp mountain air. Inside was cozy and intimate....just right for we two. All the amenities were well thought out as well....and Sona was an amazing host.Cant wait to do it again....we will be back!
We spent our Christmas week here and enjoyed every moment, it was so cozy sitting by the fireplace while playing boardgames and enjoying eachothers time while both our dogs just chilled with us. I proposed to my now fiance there and will definitely be back to make more memories. The owner Sona was super nice and very helpful, the comuncation was great when i had questions, once again thank you Sona!
The location is beautiful and the house is clean, however, there was a snake crawling around in the couch and we didnât feel comfortable staying after discovering that. Also, the lake is at least a 25-35 minute walk (we tried walking there both via the dry creek bed as well as the road), not 10 minutes as advertised in the listing. The main reason I chose this property was to access the lake, and it took us a little over 30 minutes each way to walk there. There was also a heavy unsecured metal pole that fell on top of my dog and injured her. I would definitely be extra careful if you choose to bring small children or pets here.
