We loved this cabin and loved Gatlinburg! Our dog was welcomed in the cabin and also welcomed in many of the stores and distilleries downtown. Great trip!
Stayed here 3 nights with the family, including our dog. Had an excellent time. Great mountain views. Location was very central to all we were trying to do/see during our trip. Our boys loved the hot tub. Starting off each day with coffee on the back deck was the best. Would stay again.
We stayed 5 nights in this beautiful secluded cabin and loved it! The beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. Cabin was very clean and well maintained. The back deck was my fav spot to sit in the rocking chairs & drink my morning coffee. Loved how each bedroom had their own bathroom & television. We will definitely will be back again next year.
It was a great vacation ! Working with Vrbo and red door was so easy and excellent customer service . Was notified at every step and if I had a question I was answered immediately. I enjoyed working with all you to make a great vacation
The cabin has fantastic views and is ideal for two couples. Was very clean and the two king size beds were very comfortable. Extreme ease of access which is very important to people with limited endurance. Also saw five bears during our stay.. will definitely be a destination of choice in the future.
There were two couples on our trip and the cozy cabinâs floor plans had the perfect layout for comfort and privacy. Had a great time playing shuffleboard and relaxing in the hot tub. Beds were big and spacious. Ate out for all our meals so canât comment on the kitchen supplies. A couple of hiccups but not the ownerâs fault and they were quick to try and resolve any problems we had. We enjoyed our stay!
Had a great time. We spent most of our time at the cabin. Very quiet, which is great. All of us slept until 0830 or 0900. We're usually awake at 0400 to 0500. Just a few miles from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Takes a little longer to get there due to winding, mountain roads. My family is from TN (now in SC), and I've driven this type of road for years so I didn't have a problem. There's really no yard, unless you go down a hill and get to the back of the cabin. I tied my dog out close to the woods across the street from the cabin. She was able to get into the woods/leaves to do her business. She will not "go" on pavement. The customer service from Red Door was excellent. I would stay at this cabin again. In fact, I didn't want to leave. I would recommend this cabin and Red Door rentals. We're in the 63 to 73 year old category. Still going strong and know the best places to stay. This is one of them.
The drive wasn't too bad, but I grew up in Colorado and Wyoming driving. It is a narrow road up a fairly steep path. The sheets weren't clean in one of our rooms (or it had stains), we thought there would be a gas grill, and 1 of the chairs was missing a screw, so my fiance twisted her ankle. My mother in law did have ossues getting up into the tall beds, we notice this seems to be the trend in the area, tall beds. The rest of the experience was amazing. They responded when we needed assistance rather quickly. They let us know if they were coming over to do maintance The hot tub was on great condition. We got to see a teenage bear a couple of times. Beautiful veiw and for the most part rather quiet. Some of the neighbors had a party, but unless we went outside we rrally couldn't hear them.
One note about the beds, they are a bit soft for my liking, so if you like a firmer mattress (purple owner) these may not be the beds for you.
Quick spring getaway easy access and excellent parking. Check in was a breeze but recommend you read the property managers email for the alarm codes (tested alarm... it works). Property was clean.
House had one large common room with two large bedrooms each with full baths. Kitchen stocked with plates and cookware as expected. Hot tub was a nice touch and worked great. The living room consisted of a sofa couch and two chairs. No end table or lights just a coffee table. Side tables and lights would be a nice touch for putting down drinks or reading a book. Couch was well used and chairs were worn out. Pool table/air hockey table is past itâs prime and was unusable. Only two chairs on the deck so if two couples stay at the property there is not enough seating. I forgot the grill was a gas smoker / charcoal grill combination so if you want to grill bring charcoal. Only one lamp in bedroom with two night tables. Plenty of hot water for showers. Washer dryer combo was a nice touch for drying towels
Overall, another great stay. Check ceiling fan in the left bedroom. It rhythmically clicks when running. Also, check the trees near the rear deck of the cabin. Something falls out of them and sounds like a baseball hitting the metal roof. This happened every 30 minutes it seemed. The cabin was, as usual, very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and plan to return in about 5-6 months.
The cabin was a very nice stay for our family of three and our two elderly dogs. Quiet and lovely views. Our only complaint was the lack of any cleaning supplies or extra trash bags in the cabin since there isnât anywhere close to buy anything. The cabin and surrounding scenery were truly lovely.
The cabin was nice. The layout was nice, having the bedrooms split, one on each side of the cabin. The inside was nice for a smaller family, as the living area wasnât very large. Nice views. Very quiet. Close to Gatlinburg, grocery store, shops, gas, etc. Pet friendly, but plan to walk to green space. Very nice cabin in a good location but is high in the mountain. Worth the height if you want the view, peace, and quiet. Lots of very nice rocking chairs to enjoy the scenery.
Moonlight Obsession was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. The layout was perfect for our family. The hot tub and fireplace were divine. The tubs were awesome. I'd love to use the builders of this cabin. They did a great job.
10/10 would go again.
Stay was good. Very Clean. Host was very helpful . Had to buy can opener, had 2 there both did not work, they were bent. No bbq utensils. Did not want to use spatula, it was burnt and black on edge. Had no containers with lids for food. Under lid of trash can had large amount of something on it.
This cabin is perfect for a family get away. I loved that it was centrally located to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The wildlife was amazing! We saw several bears and a bobcat walking on the property. We had a wonderful time and hope to be able to book again.
We've been traveling to the Misty Hollow area for 7 years now. This has been our third trip to Moonlight Obsession. Besides the very comfortable accommodations and the view of Mount Lecompte from the back porch, it is a PET FRIENDLY cabin! We love traveling with our little pup and Moonlight Obsession made it easy for us to bring her along.
I REALLY enjoy staying at Moonlight Obsession. Highly recommend this cabin for a quiet escape!
