Nathan, We really appreciate you giving us a review. This is something we take seriously and use guest feedback to improve concerns. It was a pleasure having you stay with us and if I put myself in your shoes, I can certainly understand your comments. I apologize about the lawn. It should have been mowed before you for there. We were having record rainfall the periods 2 weeks and still going on during your stay. The company we contract with that takes care of our mowing tried to take care of this at the property before you arrived, but the equipment was getting stuck and it would have left the grounds in a huge mess. The record rainfall, also meant record humidity, and it does create a challenge for climate control. We had an additional main climate control unit installed last year to help deal with extreme heat or cold temperatures. We were never aware that this was a problem for you. When we inspected the property after you left, the new climate control that we installed was not on the proper setting, so it was not cooling like it should. We would have been happy to help you with that. I wish we would have known. The water pressure was something we were not aware of either, but we will have it inspected and have whatever repairs are needed. Our guests are very important to us and I sincerely apologize that you had a less than 5☆ experience. Thank you so much. Dale Green

Hi DeAnn, Your review was very kind and we appreciate you staying with us. This has been an unusual year for us in 2025. The weather patterns across the country have been crazy. Here it is the beginning of July, and we have already received over 40" of rain. We are mowing 2-3 days at times, and I apologize you had to deal with this. The property sits on several acres and normally works well for walking areas. They tried to mow again the day before you arrived, but got equipment stuck. We normally do not allow pets as large as yours, but it all worked out and you were great guests.

There is never a good time for hot water to go out and it happened the first night for Vicki, and it set the tone for her entire stay. I had service guys out first thing the following morning to correct the problem, and I gave Vicki my cell number so she could call me direct, day or night if any other issues should arise. As property owners, my wife and I try to make our guests feel like family and I feel bad that we never made a good connection. I made sure to check on her in some form on a daily basis, and I always had the impression that we had a satisfied guest. I was shocked to see that she gave us a 2star rating after rolling out the red carpet for her and taking her late night calls/texts, and compensating her for the initial hot water issue. I had absolutely no problem running over if she needed help entering the correct spelling for a Wi-Fi passcode, or helping with a TV remote. I wish Vicki the best and I am very sorry she had a bad experience, but I can honestly say that we have numerous guests that choose to have extended stays or schedule a return visit far in advance just to stay at our place again. We are committed to fixing any issues and doing a better job next time.

Carolyn thank you for staying with us. We were happy to accommodate your inexpected early checking but that did take time away from our cleaning team to do our usual deep clean. We are glad you enjoyed the 4 acres for your pet as we cater to people who travel with their pets and want everyone to be comfortable. We always check on our guests a few hours after check in and would have been able to come over and show you how to operate the mini split ac/heat unit if we had known you were having trouble.
