The home was clean, the location was very convenient. Two kids bedrooms and bath upstairs and once bed and bath downstairs. Nice balcony. Internet speed was good.
We loved everything about our stay. We only had a suggestion or two. The kitchen needs a cake pan and crockpot. The bedrooms need fans. The first part of the visit was very warm. These are just suggestions. Loved the cleanliness.
The overall feel to the house was that it was just old, like youâre staying at your grandparents place. For example, the upstairs entertainment was a vcr/dvd combo (but we couldnât get it to work). Nice place to stay but defensively needs some upgrades.
We loved our stay at this cabin. Surrounded by big pines and a spectacular view of the front deck.
Switch for front patio needed repair and I think that was it for what didn't work and the water heaterbreaker needed turned on, but it worked fine for us. It was peaceful around the cabin. The dogs loved it too! Definitely would go back. Reasonably priced as well.
This property was easily able to accommodate the 6 adults and baby for our stay for the week. It had all the kitchen necessities we needed to cook all our meals. The only thing to be aware of is the tight spiral stairs leading to the upstairs 2 bedrooms. While there are stairs outside that are easier to navigate, when it's chilly at night you won't necessarily want to go outside to go to bed. Overall nice, quiet, comfortable place to spend a week.
My husband and I are considering a purchase in Angel Fire and wanted to first hand experience Vrbo in the area while exploring. This property is an older cabin but well kept overall. We didnât cook at all and only used the coffee maker and fridge but everything seemed to be in the kitchen and the bathrooms had all essentials. I sat out on the deck two night and it is nice but you do have a view of two other homes but always nice to be out in the mountain air!
The property was great. There were a ton of deer that greeted us right when we got there. One even ate from my hand. The house looked clean, there was a small issue with mouse poop in the bottom bedroom and lack of hand soap, but it was handled well by the property manager. It would have been good to have a shovel for the snow for the stairs but it melted quickly and wasn't a big problem We also really liked that they had a policy that no one check in a couple days before because of COVID which was nice. The location was good and close to few hiking trails and not so close to neighbors that you had no privacy. The Property Managers were easy to get ahold of with questions before arrival and during out stay. They had some games provided, we had fun playing some poker! We would definitely stay here again!
There was an inaccurate description in the listing that, unfortunately, really mattered to us. It was after hours when we arrived and found the problem. The property manager answered their after-hours number and they were amazing. Very quickly they were able to move us to another wonderful property. And the next day the listing on this property was changed to be more accurate. So...I highly recommend since for the short time we were there is was very nice - and had great internet...and the management company is amazing and made the problem we had right. So I have no issues at all.
The cabin was cozy and quiet. We were disappointed in the condition of the gas grill, it was so filthy and only part of the burners work. It was not really useable during our stay. We had brought fresh steaks from our ranch to cook during our stay, a little disappointing. The kitchen cookware was not stocked well and the skillet was dirty and not useable. Thankfully I brought my griddle from home to cook breakfast on each day. The outside furniture was not in good condition, pieces were broken and looked very unpleasant. I left a note for the cleaning crew listing the issues we noted during stay. Hopefully they will use it to make necessary corrections. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable. Overall we enjoyed out time at the cabin. We would stay again, just would check if the reported issues have been corrected prior to booking. Overall we would rate the the cabin a 3-4 star.
Great deck for solitude in the sun and watching deer in the morning. However the house, while functional, is very worn and in need of lots of general maintenance.
The house was able to accommodate all of us, however the bunk bed is too close to the ceiling and you bump your head every time you get up or down from it. The kitchen table is too close to the small stairway and you bump your head every time you sit down or get up. It was not stock well for toilet or dishwashing soap. There were not enough glasses for 8 people unless you wash your dishes every meal. The stairs are spiral and you have to take your luggage up outside. The stairs are hard to walk in if you do not have shoes on. It was fine for our stay but would NOT book it again.
overall a sufficient place to stay... could use more lighting in living room area . Even with all lights on still dark on cloudy day, not much light for reading. Kitchen pans could use replacing as teflon scratched up and i had to wash prior to using them since they didn't smell clean but of old burnt food.
Beds comfortable, lots of clean towels and good shower. Appreciated firepit but due to rain we did not use. Were we suppose to bring our own wood?
Location made it easy to get to other places.
Tranquil and beautiful setting. Nestled in a forest of ponderosa pines, lots of deer and ravens frequent the yard and vicinity. Great hiking trails nearby. Conveniently located proximate your the enchanted circle.
This was a very nice place to stay. Beautiful property and great location. The cabin was clean, had all the amenities we needed and the checkin process was quick and easy.
It should be noted that the pool and hot tub are not on this property but at a nearby complex. Wasn't a big deal to us but we didn't know prior to booking the cabin.
The only issue we encountered was trouble with the hot water. The day we checked in, it didn't seem to be working at all. We had to wash dishes and shower with cold water. The next day we called the property manager who sent out a technician (very prompt service!) and sure enough the hot water was working when he got here. He advised us to turn on both the hot and cold taps, then gradually turn down the cold tap and the hot water should come on. This did seem to work for the most part, but on the day we checked out, we were once again unable to get any hot water. There seems to be an issue with the tankless water heater that should be investigated/addressed before the next guest's stay if possible.
The water situation was frustrating, but otherwise we were happy with our stay.
This was our first trip to Angel Fire and found it was a great escape from a hot Texas summer. Our family loved this cabin. It was clean and we had no issues. Great location - close to town center, but still felt like we were off in the woods. Very close to lots of good hiking trails. Loved the wrap-around porch. We would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Stairs were a little difficult to navigate, but we managed just fine. No problems encountered at all. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice cabin and great location! WiFi password trouble it was misspelled on info. Need more Trash instructions. A couple deck boards and railings need repair.
