100 pieds de propriété au bord du lac vierge avec ce chalet de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain sur le lac Grand. La chambre bonus / superposé est séparée de l'espace de vie principal et peut accueillir jusqu'à 5 personnes supplémentaires avec un lit superposé pleine grandeur avec lit gigogne double. Pont surplombant le Grand Lac. La maison de bateau / salle de jeux a une table de ping-pong et un accès par porte coulissante à une petite terrasse donnant sur l'eau. La propriété comprend un quai - la location de bateaux locaux est disponible aux frais des locataires. Un foyer au bord de l'eau est disponible pour les feux de camp en soirée.

Labor Day Fun

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend @ Grand Lake Cozy Cottage. The layout of the home is perfect. The kitchen is at least a 4 person working kitchen so that was great. The additional dining space was a plus. Due to inclement weather, we ended up having a great 'game day/night' at the table. It was enough for 6 people. The levels of decking was a bonus as was the boat house play room. It was nice having a long dock at we brought two fishing boats along with us. You won't regret renting this family friendly space.Grand Lake is very clean and clear. Just bring water shoes to swim as the rocks are slippery. The view out to the lake was also a bonus. ENJOY! We plan to rent it again in the future.

Beautiful retreat

The house is well cared for with comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen, and huge refrigerator. We enjoyed using the kayaks and sitting outside on the multiple sitting areas. Fire pit makes for an easy way to close out the evening. The lake is quiet and great for swimming, boating or just watching the sun rise. Beds are full size but comfortable. May need new pillows. Although we did not use it, the bunk house is also very cozy.

Love Grand Lake

My grandparents had owned a cottage on Grand Lake, so staying at this VRBO gave us the chance to revisit the lake we grew up visiting. The house and lake were perfect for our stay.

Serenity on quiet inland lake

Swimming, fishing, relaxing and a quick easy day trip to Mackinac. Love the location and the property is well manicured with beautiful gardens and a boathouse next to lake with ping pong table for recreation out of the water. Fire pit with unobstructed views of the lake in the evenings.

cottage renter.

Outdoor florals and gardens were beautiful and well kept. Sunrises were the best looking out over the lake. Interior was clean and all the necessities needed to make it a comfortable stay were provided. I did spot a couple of carpenter ants and you may want to address that before it becomes a problem.Overall, we were very pleased with your rental.

Great place. As advertised. Owners are very responsive. The location on the lake provides views of both sunrises and sunsets over the water. We will stay again.

Stylish Clean

Sharp interior, nice landscaping and double deck. Well stocked kitchen and very nice fridge. Ping pong table in boathouse a plus for the kids. Bunkhouse did have a slight musty smell - we had a couple rainy days and temperatures on the cool side. Had about twenty steps in two lifts down to the lake, we had teenagers but might be leery if you have small kids. Overall had a very nice stay, would recommend.

Grand lake getaway

This was our second year staying here. You can take a look at my review from last year, it is the same. A great cottage in a great location. Could definitely use an exterminator, and the plumbing is a little sensitive, but everything else definitely outweighs that. The owners are responsive, kind, and definitely care about their guest’s stay.

Grand Time on Grand Lake

Exceptionally clean and well-maintained property with everything we needed — and wanted. Centrally located between Rogers City, Presque Isle proper, and Alpena, we took advantage of every attraction we could over a 3.5 day stay. The cottage was extremely comfortable with ample indoor & outdoor space, ambiance, and amenities. Recommended!

Beautiful lakeside property. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Lake Cozy Cottage. The lake house is located on a shady lot with direct access to Grand Lake. It was very quiet as there are some woods to the left and we never saw the neighbors on the right. Check-in was easy with the door key code. The lake house had about everything you’d need for your stay although you’ll probably want to bring fans for the bedrooms if you expect hot weather. There is a nice ceiling fan in the living room. We loved the kayaks, ping pong table, and ladder ball. Such nice amenities! Everything was as described with one minor exception - the queen size bed is in the smaller bedroom and the large bedroom has the full size bed. The bunk house pictures didn’t show windows but there are 2 windows and a screen door for air circulation. Overall a great stay!

Beautiful location and great cottage!

This was an adorable cottage with a fantastic lake view. The property owner is very quick to respond to questions. The kitchen is very well stocked, better than any VRBO I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in a lot all over the country. The cookware is clean and not all scratched up and they had everything I would want & more. The gas grill is also very nice with even heat. The living area is very cozy. It would be nice if the bathroom had an exhaust fan but it's not the end of the world. Air conditioning would also be an added bonus. The bunkhouse was too musty for the teenage girls to sleep in there but we all enjoyed the games and puzzles on a rainy day. A window AC unit would help that. The deck is very comfortable and I love the motion-sensed solar lights that line the steps down to the lake. The boathouse is wonderful. The kids and adults enjoyed playing ping pong. We enjoyed the bonfire area and appreciate that the owners supplied wood. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and star-gazing on it at night. The kayaks were the best amenity. We explored Grand Island and the larger of the Three Sisters Islands. Found Petoskey Stones and sea glass. The lake is so beautiful and we enjoyed exploring it without having to rent a boat (although next time we will plan to do that). Overall we will definitely keep it on our must return list!!!

Perfect getaway

This home was everything we had hoped for - a relaxing getaway where we could step out the door and fish, enjoying the sights and sounds of the lake. This was probably the most well furnished kitchen we've ever seen, every type of cookware & utensil you could need was neatly tucked into cabinets & drawers. The laundry room holds a few more things too including extra towels etc. Plenty of room in the bedrooms and bunk house (which my elder teen claimed for himself & loved). I admit I was worried about the lack of A/C, coming from near Philadelphia where we'd left behind temps in the high 90's. Happy to find I did not need to worry, as there was only one evening it was a bit warm but nothing that the open windows couldn't fix. The rest of the week was absolutely perfect & we were sad to return home to 90+ degrees again. There are two kayaks and a canoe; which we did not utilize as much as we'd hoped, but everything you need for them is readily available in the boathouse. Plenty of chairs also for enjoying the lake view or watching whomever is fishing. Sunrise and sunset are also beautiful on the lake. Highly recommend! We absolutely loved our week. The Wilson family

Grand Lake Cottage.

Very nice little cottage, excellent location! The house is located in a great spot, just off of US 23, and right in between the north and south sandbars. There’s good swimming right off of the dock with sand and rocks on the lake bed. The cottage had most everything you would need for a stay. The kitchen had high end appliances it was clean and was clean. The master bed is only a full, but it was pretty comfortable. The bonus room is good for younger kids or boys that don’t mind a little more austere conditions. For future residents, if it’s going to be hot, I would suggest bringing fans, as there were none in the home (only some ceiling fans). I would also recommend an exterminator. I know lake homes tend to have more bugs than normal, but there were a lot of carpenter ants and earwigs all over the home. Overall, this was a great little cottage at a very good price and I would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous lake house gem

We loved being Right on the lake. The furniture and decor were fresh and appeared new… as opposed to other listings that look like they haven’t bought a new duvet or couch in 30 years! It was a bit chilly having visited in early June so we had to buy some firewood and our nighttime fires cozied things right us for us. There was a marina just a couple miles down the road so it made renting a boat very easy and we appreciated having the dock right out front to tie it up to. When we contacted the owner with a quick question she was very pleasant and also gave us some other helpful recommendations. If we were ever going to be in that area of MI again we would definitely stay here again!

Lovely cottage

I have been coming to Grand Lake for many, many years. I've probably stayed in 20 or more different cottages. This was my first stay on the West (US 23) side of the lake. Turned out that was not an issue, and this is a very nice cottage. I did not use the bunk house, so I can't comment on that. The main cottage is clean and well-equipped. We had good weather, except for one day when the wind was relentless, and the lake was so rough, that, despite the dock bumpers present, my boat sustained damage from slamming against the dock. A hoist would have been a Godsend on that day. From now on, a hoist will be a priority when I rent. There is a large gas grill which we used a few times, and it worked fine. It's on a very nice deck with furniture, flower boxes and a great view of the lake. This is also one of the few cottages I've rented that allows you to use the fireplace, and provides firewood (we didn't use it, as we picked a very warm week). Speaking of that, there were a couple of days where the temperatures were uncharacteristically warm for Grand Lake... like high 80s to 90. A fan in the bedrooms would have been nice, but neither bedroom has a ceiling fan, which is not typical of most cottages here. Add to that, the one fan in the living area did not work. It was uncomfortable for a while. Overall, I think the absence of fans was the biggest shortcoming of this cottage. There is a small dishwasher, but good luck figuring out how to run it... the instructions on it are all some kind of goofy non-verbal symbols that none of us could figure out. I suggest that the owners leave a set of instructions as to how to use it. We just washed all dishes and utensils by hand. There is also a very nice, modern refrigerator, but the ice maker doesn't work, so plan on buying a bag of ice, or bring your own ice trays. Despite these issues, this was a nice stay, overall.
