We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was clean, quiet, cozy, and very comfortable. The hot tub was well-maintained and a great way to relax after a long day. We also loved how private the property felt. The cabin has a few charming older home quirks and is a bit dated, but that just added to its character. The host were fantastic and it was obvious they genuinely cared about making sure their guests had an enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again!

As I informed the owner, there is a definite rodent problem. Mice could be heard in the walls in the downstairs bedrooms. A member of our family was using the downstairs bathroom in the middle of the night and a mouse popped out of the vanity.

We're sorry to hear about this — we know that's unsettling. The property backs up to National Forest, and this year mice have been especially active all over the area due to the drought, so we've had pest control out to treat the cabin and will keep a close eye on it going forward. We appreciate you flagging it, and hope you'll give us another stay in the future.

Hi, we're Jennifer and Robert — passionate travelers, proud Black Hills locals, and dedicated hosts with over 8 years of experience creating memorable stays for our guests.
Robert is a former Army pilot who still flies for the love of it, and we spend our winters at an airpark in Texas before heading back to the beautiful Black Hills each spring. We've seen a lot of the world, which is exactly why we know what makes a great guest experience — the little details matter, the space should feel like home, and you should never have to wonder if your hosts care.
We do.
The Black Hills are our favorite place on earth and we love sharing them with visitors from all over the world. Jennifer has a passion for photography, family, and our dog, and brings that same eye for detail to every one of our properties. Many of the best features in our homes came directly from guest suggestions — so never hesitate to share your thoughts. We genuinely love hearing from you.
We respond quickly, we go above and beyond, and we'll always do our best to make your stay exceptional. Whether you're here for a weekend adventure, a family reunion, or a Sturgis Rally trip, we're honored to be part of your journey.
Hope to see you soon!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose this clifftop location in the Black Hills because there is simply nowhere else like it. Perched above the trees with sweeping views in every direction, surrounded by over 3 acres of private land, and positioned perfectly between Rapid City and the region's best attractions — this is the ideal spot to experience the true magic of the Black Hills. Thunderhead Falls is just 4 minutes away, Black Hills Caverns is 9 minutes, and Mount Rushmore is just 20 minutes down the road. The historic Flume Trail runs right behind the property, and the area is rich with wildlife, hiking, and scenery that guests return to year after year.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There are cabins in the Black Hills, and then there is this cabin. Perched on a genuine clifftop with 360-degree views, a private outdoor hot tub overlooking the Black Hills landscape, over 3 acres of completely private land, and a rich history that includes the original gold mine Flume Trail running right behind the property — this is not a typical rental. Add three comfortable bedrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, pet-friendly accommodations, and over 8 years of Superhost-level hospitality from Jennifer and Robert — and you have a Black Hills experience that guests consistently rate in the Top 10% in the entire area. With 75 reviews and a 9.6 out of 10 rating, the guests have spoken.
